Nah He's already cleared Anderson he had pretty bad losses one even agaisnt a damn Bantamweight and imo not as good a winstreak due to the level of competition he faced along with the drug test fails and later losses, Silva for me never reached due to all these Factors. Islam clearly behind GSP and Fedor but is still approaching them and WAY behind Jones unless he wins his next 6 fights dominantly I dont see him close to Jones

Topuria did well on the ground against Charles, there's no reason to think Arman can dominate him. On the feet he would obviously be the favourite. If I was Topuria I would also rather fight Paddy in a big buildup or try to be th first 3 weight champ, these are just smart things to do. He is probably avoiding Arman, but I don't believe it's out of fear, he is just a smaller fight that does less for him. In the eyes of the fans it does more, but to him personally it does nothing.

The timing of Islams WW-shot was underwhelming, since most people were way more interested in Islam vs Ilia or Arman than vs JDM.

His last two defenses (Poirier and Moicano) were quite weak.

Of course, Arman is also to blame for pulling out.

Max had no business going back down to 145. I'm shocked he even managed to make the weight.

But yes, Islam should have been forced to clean out the division and rematch Arman, before moving up to 170. But that's not Islam's fault. Arman screwed this whole thing up with his bad weight cut, leading to back spasms (due to dehydration and fucking around with Nina Drama). If Arman misses weight one more time (or pulls out like that again), he should getting the Johnny Hendricks treatment.
