There was a famous incident decades ago where Quadros posted online as Baron von Beatdown that he knocked Joe Rogan unconscious in a bathroom and left him face down in a urinal. The next night on the UFC broadcast Joe Rogan had a black eye and went out of his way to explain it was an injury from training.

fuck yes. it would warm my heart if the Crippler worked his way up to being a ref in the UFC. we'd see him back in the octagon again! one of the fighters who i first gravitated towards when i first started watching MMA.
i would definitely prefer him over some of the current refs.

Frank Trigg reffed my first pro fight at kotc in Ontario ca, back in 2021. I got knocked down with a knee and he almost was going to stop it but gave me a few seconds to work through it. My opponent gassed himself going for the kill while I was still defending and I finished him with a guillotine choke.

so yes, having former mma fighters ref fights is and should be the way to go. Thanks Frank!
