I Don’t Understand Why Some Fans Put Usman Over Hughes at 170 All Time

usman was gifted opportunities against B level fighters with a padded record of rematches - no offence, but he was the product of the UFC hype machine - never really a top 5 fighter imho.

You have to realize 90% of current MMA fans you see online didn't even know what MMA stood for when Hughes was an active fighter and in his prime. They don't know shit about MMA History

-Trigg 2-5 in the UFC.
-I don’t remember being super impressed with Sakurai even if he was a fun fighter.
-BJ Penn (one of my all time favorites) was always best at LW; regardless of the fact that he went 2-1 against Hughes (funnily enough BJ’s last win.)
-Sherk 3-2 in the ufc at WW (probably my thinnest argument.)
