Another horrendous fight night

I've been a casual for awhile, and been reading/hearing about it happening to many others. Most of the viewer mails on one of my podcasts say this as well. I guess they're gaining more new fans than losing old ones.
I don't see how they could gain new fans with the garbage they been putting out lately. If this was the product back when i became a fan, i don't think i would be on this forum talking you you today.

by the way, fighters should be payed LESS

they dont do anything other than have stinking sparring matches
I got some ideas.... fighter pay dictated via effective fighting.

1. $10 for every punch landed during the fight.

2. $20 for each kick above the waist, $10 for low kicks.

3. Spinning shit adds +50%.

4. Successful takedowns are $5 each, unless a slam is involved, which would make them $50 each.

5. Chaining submissions earns a dollar at a time. More submissions, more dollars.

6. $100,000k for any victory within the first 2 rounds.

7 Bryce Mitchell starts every fight with a 10-7 score against him in the 1st round because he's just...dumb.

Is UFC dying yet?

On a serious note: The product has become stale and divisions are stagnating. Wake me up when Aspinall vs Jones gets made

After 2 decades of dedicated watching, I’ve officially lost interest. I’ll catch replays and re-watch some, but mostly check the gifs of the finishes from here on out. Sad…..

Same here, I use to watch every event since 2004. PPV and fight night, but just lost interest in these fights nights. And the PPV are just not worth the price tag.

I'm shifting to BKFC events and for a breath of fresh air. The UFC demands too much of my time every month for only a handful of good fights. I don't care to watch them anymore if something different is on.

ONE FC does a better job with their events IMO.

MMA: The only sport where people brag about how little of the sport they watch.

Last night's card was fine for a fight night, with a very meaningful main event.

I used to religiously watch every single events from SPIKE TV, Fuel TV, CBS (EliteXC), Versus Network, FS1 and even going back to the Facebook prelim days but now I don't have the same urge to do so, I already missed about a handful of events this calendar year. Last night I tried but I ended up just watching the NCAA Tournament...But now I can't even watch an entire card just for the sake of being an MMA "aficionado" or "connoisseur". Have to admit, my passion & enthusiasm is pretty much diminishing. Do you believe the UFC is turning their hardocre consumers into casuals?

I never know whether an event will be mediocre or not until I watch it. Some cards have top names and are an absolute letdown. Other cards are full of unknowns who put on a show to try and make a name for themselves.

Like I posted on the other thread with this same topic, the 20 year-old kid at my work loves UFC. He was excited to see Josh Emmett fight. To a lot of 18-25 year olds new to the sport a fight night Apex card is the same as a WEC on Fuel TV card was to us back in the day.

I just came home from a 2 day trip. This is the first card I missed in a very long time. Skimming through this thread, I have a feeling I will watch it on fast forward in half an hour before going to bed. A lot of time saved, I guess.

For as many people complain about events being water down, I still do not know if any of them sucks as bad as UFC 9, UFC 33, or UFC 61.
