Ankalaev = Nondescript / Nothing

Dude, I just told you what you said. You said something dumb.

Everything you say is dumb.

FYI, I know a lot more about MMA than you do. You can act like a wanker all you want, you still said something ridiculous and you are being rightfully mocked for it.

You know nothing about MMA, or combat, compared to me.

I've been following combat sport since the mid-70s, boxed in the late-80s, trained with Royce, Rickson, Rorion and the Machados in the early 90s.

Have been arrested 7x for actual street fights (let alone those that never get reported).

You have "no experience" (or time) in anything close to the level of experience/interest I have an MMA

Thinking that Pereira will win is a perfectly reasonable opinion. Thinking that it's a lopsided mismatch is not. It is biased fanboy nonsense.

Go flock yourself

If you want to pick fights with strangers on a karate forum, go right ahead. It's super cool behaviour!

If I recall correctly, you picked a fight with me, you ignorant/simpleton fugg.

Everything you say is dumb.
Well that's an ironic statement, since all you have done ITT is embarrass yourself.

Lol

Ah, so you're ancient. That explains a lot, grampa.

I've only been watching since 1994.

Congratulations. That makes you a loser.

You do not recall correctly

No, just embarrass you.

I've only been watching since 1994.

That makes you a younger, less-experienced dumb ass.

Congratulations. That makes you a loser.

Lol

No, I'm a winner.

Own my own home, same career for 36 years, beautiful woman in-hand, love to fight, love fighters, have been in more fights with you — rolled/sparred with more professional fighters than you.

I would fogging kill you if we met.

And I could find you, wherever you are, which is another of my skill sets.

I've copies/saved this discourse.

I'll record a video of our actual meeting, when I come see you.

No, just embarrass you.
You have done no such thing, except maybe in your mind

No, that means I have been watching for over thirty years.
No, I'm a winner.
Clearly not

No, you really wouldn't, grampa.

Get a life, weirdo.

Just a grumpy old man yelling at clouds on a karate forum. Nothing to see here.

You should read his unhinged shit on another Pereira post where he got into it, and started talking about his wfh setup like it’s a flex.
He’ll tell you which monitor he’s got too if you push him too much 😂

Ankalaev was completely outgunned by Jan Błachowicz, Rounds 1-3 — being especially vulnerable to a calf-attack — which is why Ankalaev had to take the fight to the ground, and rely on lay-and-pray, to eek-out a pathetic draw.

Meanwhile, at 5000-ft altitude, on his first LHW, Pereira completely decimated Błachowicz' calves, and was eating him alive in the striking game, which is why Błachowicz had to take the fight to the ground, and rely on lay-and-pray, to eek-out a pathetic loss.

Do the MMA math, and do yourself the additional favor of checking Alex Pereira's actual kickboxing resume, compared to the ABSOLUTE NOTHING of Ankalaev's kickboxing resume.

Ya might want to sit down, and shut up, as to who-is-who in striking acumen.
Relax sherbro. Ankalaev got his leg chewed up by Jan and he will absolutely need to address that for the Pereira fight but outside of that he did just fine standing, and Jan himself did well standing with Pereira. I never said Magomed is on the same level as Poatan when it comes to striking but I don’t think he’s Ben Askren in comparison like many seem to think. And let’s not act like Pereira has never been challenged on the feet before, Khalil had plenty of success and Magomed is most certainly a better fighter.

Your shitty attitude sure does explain the double yellows though.

I mean it's the former IronGolem007

the guy is perpetually ridden with yellows

He prefers to stand but when he needed to, he took Jan down at will. Pereira just went life and death with Rountree in a kickboxing match, now include the threat of the takedown and you might be surprised at how effective Ank's boxing might look.
life and death? lmfao i think you need to rewatch this fight. This fight for sure had the 'he did better than expected so he won some rounds' thing going on for a lot of people. Rewatch the AP and Rountree fight and tell me Roundtree even won a round....cause he didnt.

He def won the first two rounds.
I disagree that it was "life and death" though
Clearly Poatan knows Roundtree was eventually gonna slow down.

ofc conveniently gloss over the fact Alex was coming in sick with a couple of minor injuries. Not to mention the fact that was Alex at his worst mean while that was Khalil at his best ever yet Alex still was able to brutally finish him toward the end of the fight.

The first two rounds were ultra competitive, and he dropped him. You got the clear feeling that he was a very legit threat in those first couple rounds, let's not pretend it was some blowout...

I think he's a good fighter. It's just that there's nothing remotely interesting or appealing about him.

absolutely not. I thought so too but only because the commentating were in rountrees favor because he was doing much better than people anticipated. i rewatched the fight, and AP easily takes every round. the round he got stunned was at the bell and doesnt negate what happened before it. rewatch it

it wasnt a blowout. he also wasnt knocked down it was a stun shot at the end of the bell that doesnt negate the whole round AP won before that.

BY no means did AP blow him out, it def wasnt. but rewatch it and youll see AP won every round.
