Andrew Tate arrested

There's definitely something a bit fishy overall about him and usually there isn't smoke without fire.

Having said that, it does seem that several governments and powerful people are trying really hard to censure him and his views and shut him down, especially as he's gone against the public opinion on many topics such as the Covid pandemic and Covid vaccine, the war in Ukraine, the genocide commited by Israeal in Palestine and that the 7th October attack was just payback from Hamas and Palestine over Israel, etc. Opinions which are shared by many people online but that still go against what Western mainstream media and governments want to push as a narrative, so when you have an influential guy like him with million of followers and fans who can influence opinion in mass, that's a threat to those organizations.

But yeah, overall I don't like what he portrays and anyone who's manipulating young girls into sex and explicit pictures and videos should be going down.

They definitely want to get him. Tate is a complete dumbass to not understand how things work in those countries. The moment he acted like Romanians were exceptionally lenient on that stuff, his ass was grass. They just haven't really figured out how to convict him yet.

You can get away with a lot of stuff until you start gloating about it like Tate did. This was as direct insult the country and its institutions. They're never letting him walk.
Reminds me of what James C Scott has said about the state of anarchism in places like Zomia. The idea is that when a state of anarchy emerges in a given region neither the people living in that region nor the central government will acknowledge it. The government won't because its an admission of failure to govern and the people living in the anarchic region won't because it embarrasses the central government and invites them to attempt to reassert control.

The irony is that the only way to enact and preserve anarchy is to pretend it doesn't exist at all.

He was tied in with the mob there. It’s completely possible he was laundering money for them. I imagine he was running the ideal businesses for laundering.

Probably next to impossible to prove
- He is laudering money and trafficking human beings. And i dont know the laws in Romenia, but here, if he stole a girls passaport and made her perform sexual acts, still counts a rape also.

A really upstand citzen.

I imagine he was running the ideal businesses for laundering.

The online influencer flauting money, is the ideal life-stile for money laundering. The autorities dosnt even have to left home to catch those guys now!

- They arent censoring him for this. He just says that, because he already knew he was gonna get caught. And that's was probably the reason why he even said those were his views.

They banned his social media accounts before he was even accused of what he's been arrested for though. Those type of views do get you shut down.

2 of my friends run a media outlet and had threats of it being taken down and their bank accounts shut down if they continued with going against the mainstream agenda when it comes to the war in Ukraine and the Covid vaccines. And they have far from millions of readers or followers.

But still I'm not saying Andrew Tate is innocent here when it comes to the accusations of manipulating women.

Romanian authorities tow vehicles from Andrew Tate’s home after new human trafficking allegations

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Romanian authorities towed away a fleet of luxury vehicles Saturday from the home of the divisive social media personality Andrew Tate, days after he was placed under house arrest following new human trafficking allegations.

Tate, 37, and his brother Tristan Tate, 36, both former kickboxers and dual British-U.S. citizens with millions of followers on social media and known for their misogynistic views, are already awaiting trial in Romania, along with two women. They were charged with human trafficking and forming a criminal gang to exploit women. Andrew Tate was also charged with rape in that case.

The luxury vehicles, impounded from their home near the capital, included a Ferrari, a Lamborghini, a Mercedes-Benz, McLaren and a more humble-looking classic red Lada. The seizure came two days after Romania’s anti-organized crime agency, DIICOT, raided four homes in Bucharest and nearby Ilfov county and detained six people, including the Tate brothers. Officers also confiscated thousands of dollars in cash, laptops and data storage drives.

One of the Tates’ lawyers, Georgiana Popa, told reporters outside the brothers’ home Saturday that the seizures are “legal, but unfounded” and said it has been contested.

“The cars are not (the brothers’) property,” she said, without providing additional information.

The Tate brothers appeared on Thursday at a Bucharest court as prosecutors sought to remand them in custody. But a judge denied that request and placed Andrew Tate under house and Tristan Tate under judicial control, which typically involves restricting contact with certain people and having to periodically report to the police. The brothers’ spokesperson, Mateea Petrescu, said that the Tates firmly deny all allegations against them and “remain steadfast in proving their innocence.”

In the new case, DIICOT, said that it’s investigating allegations of human trafficking, including the trafficking of minors, sexual intercourse with a minor, forming an organized criminal group, money laundering, and influencing statements.

The agency also said the defendants used the coercive “loverboy” method to exploit 34 vulnerable victims, who were forced to produce pornographic materials for a fee online, and that more than $2.8 million (2.5 million euros) it generated was kept by the defendants.

An unnamed foreign man also sexually exploited a 17-year-old foreigner, DIICOT alleges, and said that he kept all of the $1.5 million (1.3 million euros) made from the criminal activity. The same man “repeatedly had sexual relations and acts” with a 15-year-old, the agency alleges.

Andrew Tate, who has 9.9 million X followers, has repeatedly claimed that prosecutors have no evidence against him and that there is a political conspiracy to silence him. He was previously banned from various social media platforms for misogynistic views and hate speech.

Authorities have previously confiscated some of the brothers’ assets.

After the Tates’ arrest in December 2022, authorities seized 15 luxury cars, 14 designer watches and cash in several currencies. The total value of the goods, authorities said at the time, was estimated at 3.6 million euros ($3.9 million). In April, the Bucharest Tribunal ruled the prosecutors’ case file against them met the legal criteria and that a trial could start, but didn’t set a date for it to begin.

Last month, a court overturned an earlier decision that allowed the Tate brothers to leave Romania as they await trial. The court’s decision is final and can’t be appealed.

- I get that. Sorry if i misread!

Never would have crossed my mind but the more I think about it, it makes sense.

As serious as the topic is, and as much as I agree he should be strung up, I literally lol'd at "but not in a good way". But I am old so I don't think there's ever been a good way, whatever you kids may think.

Just sayin lol

Had a similar reaction. In my high-school days, calling someone a pimp meant he waa good with the ladies, which is pretty fucked. In my dad's generation, it meant something like "sleazy dirtbag."

Calling someone a pimp for being good with the ladies is like complimenting an effective manager by calling them a dictator.

Tate seems to be the very definition of this, better meaning of pimp. A sleazy, abusive, bombastic blight on humanity.

I dont know if he's guilty of the awful things he's being accused of, but I don't need to know that to see he's clearly a shit stain who promulgates horseshit and mean spirited ugliness as a method of fleecing people. And, gun to my head, I'm pretty sure he's guilty of at least some of the charges.

To believe otherwise is to think he's both the victim of a conspiracy AND that he's falsely incriminated himself repeatedly by bragging about his exploitation of people... for some reason.
