Andrew Tate arrested

Yeah, I am not so sure because the other gender isn't dealing with the same issue. They aren't being told that inherent female qualities are wrong. For sure the lack of meaning is an issue too, and maybe a bigger one overall, but that alone isn't the reason guys like Tate got a following, and that is what I am speaking of. It is because he is saying it is ok to feel a certain way. It is NOT wrong to feel these masculine traits and have these masculine feelings. Though he packages it up with horrible advice too, and that is a big cause for concern. Not to mention that he himself is quite a shitty person himself, but we generally overlook bad traits and advice as long as the messenger is also saying things we want to hear.
They aren't? Ok, alpha brain.

Alpha brain? What is this, little fella?

Name them. Show receipts of what mainstream culture is saying is wrong with inherent female qualities.
People who go around referring to alpha and beta males. Do you really need examples? @HereticBD?

For the record, I think you have a distorted idea of what I think about things. I have yet to see you retract your accusation against me either despite frequent agreement with posts I made after you called me a race-baiter.

So why bring that up here? When did I refer to anyone as alpha?? Certainly not myself lol
It was a joke that also happens to reflect reality. Note the bold text in your post in my reply.

So the reality is I have “alpha brain”? Again, what does that mean since I don’t call anyone alphas or betas?

Do you believe I like Tate or that red-pill stuff? Is that where this stems from?

I'm essentially calling out your faulty assumption. No one is telling men "inherent male qualities" (whatever the fuck they are) are wrong. They're being told that trying to own and control everything, including women, is wrong. They're being told that thinking men can only be a certain way or else they're deficient is wrong.

You appear to disagree.

Ah, so you are just going on assumptions that are incorrect. No worries then. Carry on.

Sure dude.
Hey man, I'm not trying to argue with you, but why do you disagree with that? There's some pretty clear statistics about it these days right?

Why are you convinced it's just men? And also have you been influenced by Andrew Tate and his subtle message of blaming women for all of it?

Nowhere do I say that women are not facing problems in the world. Our problems are just different. They are not the same, and mainstream culture is not saying they are wrong for acting like women. If so, please point them out. I can point you towards a plethora of content about “toxic masculinity” and other male shortcomings all day in media and print.

Also, I didn’t even know who Andrew Tate was until sherdog, and I had the same thoughts before, so unless you attribute some magical quality to him, then no, he didn’t influence me. You went the route of attacking the messenger(saying it was a personal issue) instead of the message itself. I’m quite fine with women, as they raised me, and I love them quite dearly. Even my exes. My experiences are mine alone, so I don’t attribute their faults to all women at all. Most are decent people, like most men.

100% agree man. That this guy is as popular as he is has got to be a canary in the coalmine. It's deeply troubling.anyone could look up to him.

'Canary in the coalmine' came shortly after the Arab Spring. Social media owners were on cloud9 thinking their products are delivery systems of good. Instead they were repurposed by nefarious entities exploiting their engagement algorithms to spread misinformation.

So, apparently, you didn't take my advice and read your post and my response. Ok.

I'm assuming? I'm not assuming anything. I'm commenting on this:
You're the one who said, without evidentiary backing, that "the other gender isn't dealing with the same issue. They aren't being told that inherent female qualities are wrong. I'm saying men aren't being told that inherent male qualities are wrong either. They're just being told to not be arseholes just because they're used to getting away with it.

Uhhhhh.

Dude I want you to take a step back here. I'm not someone else on this form trying to kick your ass or something. I'm genuinely just trying to have a conversation.

You asked for the flip side equivalent of the problem men are having with women and now it seems like you just made my point for me saying that there isn't a flip side equivalent but women are having problems too which is my position in the first place.

I'm also not accusing you of liking Andrew Tate and since you only just heard of him today, you should know that he has sex trafficked hundreds of women. He has beaten them and raped them and he has manipulated them into being sex workers for his profit and lied to them about their incomes etc. He's about as bad a villain as anyone could ever be so I don't know why anyone would look to him just because he says some good things too. Does that make sense man? Like can't people find someone who says good things who isn't also a cancerous tumor?

And also the way he talks about women there is a subtle hatred in Andrew Tate and so the way he frames men's issues with women includes hatred towards women. It's just a bad source is all I'm saying and I'm not even saying he is your source.

What you are describing when it is true is only a tiny fraction of the problem though, and that's kind of my point in this thread. That's just an arm of a many armed beast, but the real beast is the meaning crisis.

It’s all good. You can’t attack anyone online lol

To be clear, I definitely heard of him before today, but learned of him from this thread. Seen the name, but never watched anything on him. That red-pill stuff isn’t for me

I agree. People shouldn’t listen to him. I never said they should. Though I get why some people like him. You brought up hitler earlier. Was it the lack of meaning in German lives that caused them to follow him, or was it that hit on some issues that resonated with folks, and he packaged along horrible things with it? Politicians do it to this day with hiding pet projects in bills that sound appealing based on separate issues. Thats what i meant with Tate. He is telling men there is nothing wrong with feeling certain qualities of a man, at the same time saying and doing abhorrent acts. You and I would not fall under that, but many people just hear what they want, and discard the rest. Evil as it may be. Not saying that’s right, only that’s something that indeed happens.

Sorry. Not as articulate as many of you here, so things will be lost in translation.
