Anderson Silva's Most Impressive Victory?

what about irvin? at the time, irvin was one of the best stand-up artists the ufc ha dto offer with brutal muays thai skills, and a.s. just caught that kick and punched his face with pure power.

Who the fuck told you that? Some UFC commercial?

Definitely Sonnen 1 because before that alot of people thought he was just a frontrunner fighter that was so used to dominating people and that he would fold like a cheap tent if someone put any pressure on him

This right here

even though the Forrest fight was a close second

Irvin is on the poll?

It's close between Hendo and Forrest, but I picked Hendo just because he is probably one of Anderson's best quality opponents and managed to finish him. I was amazed during Anderson's performance against Forrest, but Forrest had a bad game plan and he is not a hard opponent for Anderson stylistically.

I vote for the first Franklin fight. While yes you can make the argument the division was weak, Franklin had looked like an absolute beast before running into Silva. He was 22-1 and was fresh off of destroying Ken Shamrock (before Ken was seen as washed up), Evan Tanner, Nate Quarry, and David Loiseau. Beating Franklin in the manner that he did was amazing.

I think his best opponent was Dan Henderson but his most impressive preformence was Vitor. So for me its a toss up between Henderson and Belfort.

i voted vitor ,just because of the way he finished him, though i admit his win over forest was just as good was a toss up between the 2 for me.

Forrest. Had no idea if Anderson would be as successful in LHW with the stronger and bigger opponents. He's considered to be pretty big for his weight so the challenge of facing "his own" size was interesting.

i wouldn't say he dominated dan, he got handled in the first round from the get go, then in the second caught dan and tapped him when he was rocked.

vintage anderson was against forrest, franklin, leben.

Dan didn't really do much though, small pitter patter shots and didn't improve his position at all, kinda just got held. Then Andy came out lit him up on the feet and subbed him.

His best fight is the fight in which he got his ass beat for 23 minutes in all phases of MMA before he subbed the guy?

my eyes told me that. at that time he had one of the best stand-up game, thats a fact.

No, no he didn't. He MIGHT have had top 10 striking in the LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT division, but not in the UFC. That is a joke. James Irvin isn't even a top 50 striker in UFC history.

Forrest isn't his "best win" in terms of best opposition, Hendo would be that - but the way he beat Forrest was out of this world nuts.

nope didn't do damage, just controlled him in the half guard.. still i wouldn't say he dominated dan imo..

hando had a horrible cut for that fight, he was gassed to fuck after round 1 (which involved him dominating anderson for the entire round on the ground)

Not saying it's true, but Irvin was 14-4 before facing Silva, with only 1 win by decision. Also a former WEC Heavyweight champ, and pretty known for his power and striking. He has some pretty memorable knockouts and tore shit up during his early career.
