am I missing something with Petr/Sean?

Do you know what the term glass cannon means? He is NOT that
It doesn't have to be a chin thing. He is a frail person. You telling me he isn't Mr. Glass? This is from one of his best wins. A 6 month suspension. His opponent didn't get suspended for that long and took a severe beating. Can you imagine what happens when he starts fighting people who are hitting him back?

"Sean O’Malley: Requires X-ray on both hands to rule out fracture. Requires X-rays on left tibia and right foot, will require clearance from orthopedic doctor on positive result or no contest until Jan. 7; minimum suspension no contest until Aug. 10, no contact until Aug. 1"

O malley is ranger,so is Sandhagen but Sandhagen is an inside fighter while O malley fights from outside. O malley can outpoint him to a decision
Sean can hit pretty hard. So he has a punchers chance.
98% chance he gets blasted, probably finished, and hopefully learns some needed humility.

if you take a shot every time someone posts that Yan is a “slow starter” you will die in about 4 minutes. too much fun

i love yan but i got a feeling omalley will piece him up,range+hype+3rounder+yan is a slow starter
He couldn't even land a clean punch on Munhoz, the worst defensive fighter perhaps in the history of 135 lbs. Shitty high-guard, walks in molasses, no head movement, & O'Malley still couldn't land.

I mean he literally lost round 1 to Munhoz but he's gonna blow the doors off of Yan?

Lol Sherdog is a trip

Why wouldn't I? Pretty bizarre to only watch fights where you have no idea who is favored.

Keep in mind Khabib vs Conor was the most-watched fight in our sport's history. That wasn't a "gee what is going to happen" fight in the slightest, despite all the promotional bullshit of pro picks blabbing about "oh man I don't know what about that left hand" before the fight happened.

Sounds like you're agreeing with me then... thinking multiple pros are NOT taking it seriously and saying they are picking Sean for either promotional reasons or contrarian reasons or whatever.

No offense but if we can't say who the better boxer is by observing their boxing skills what the hell else could we base it on? Or are you saying we have to watch them with 16 ounce gloves + Queensberry rules only?

Watching since at least 2010 taught me to judge fights based on skillsets. Instead of nebulous shit like "what if" questions not based on any reality.

Judging fights based on skillsets is fine, I mentioned these things because you seem to think its impossible for O'Malley to win.

If you want to talk about reality, yes, those "what ifs" do mean that both fighters have at least a slight chance to win. If you follow MMA for even 1 year, you could easily see this

However if you really want to talk about what he have actually seen, its not even that far fetched to say O'Malley can outstrike him.

Sterling boxed Yan's ears off for 2 rounds in their first fight before gassing ffs. Sterling. And that was a 5 round fight, this one will be 3 rounds

Yan is better everywhere, but O'Malley is a puncher that knows how to use his height/reach advantage, so you could imagine him stopping Yan's takedowns and scoring from the outside.

O’Malley has a shot in a 3 round fight. If this was 5 rounds he’s either getting stopped or decisioned
