All you dummies not watching Mr Inbetween

Just started watching this, Rectify and Mr robot. Still need to finish The Witcher too

Honestly this thread is the 1st I’ve heard/read about it but I’m going to check it out for sure. Looks interesting, and I need a new show atm

Whatever you do, watch the entire first season.

The reason I say this is that there's a slight tempo change and that throws people. It's a trick. Keep watching.

Yup.
Have you watched it? He's a double hard bastard beast, but also kind of a sweetheart who would help a little old lady across the road.

I love how it turns out with his girlfriend. It isn't magical Christmasland. She's a real character with a real history and when she realizes just who Ray is, she gets the fuck out of dodge even though she loves him. And have to admit, I really enjoyed post relationship Ray.

I love how imperfect he is. One of my favorite episodes (not for creepy reasons) is the one where the little girl gets snatched. I loved how he reacted, how quickly he took control. And I love that even though he did all the right things, it wasn't him who found her, it was his super pro friend who had been comic relief up to that point. The episode pushed all my buttons. I was practically shaking waiting for them to find the villains.

Whatever, I'm rambling

Oh my God that made my day!!!!!!!!!

Best show I've watched this year. Easily.

It's so fucking good, it makes me want to work 'heaps' into my daily lexicon. But an American simply can't pull that shit off.

This on Netflix, FX..?

Finally got around to watching this a couple of weeks ago. It's really good and I hope there will be a third season.

S3 confirmed up thread a few posts.

It's fantastic TV and I'm glad a large American contingent like it. There is a whole lot of Australiana in there I hope you enjoyed.
Best show I've watched in the last three years, just beating out The Detectorists .

For most of this thread i felt like Loiosh is one of the producers on the show.

But others are giving it rave reviews too so will check it out.

@Loiosh
I was forced into watching the new trailer so I'm not linking it. Holy shirtballs, friend.

Counting down the days. Love this fuckin show

Thanks to @Bob Gray for the heads up, we have a new and final season next month.

If you numpties haven't watched it, they're short episodes and you'll get through 2 seasons tout suite.

Nothing will ever dethrone peep show out of the uk TV scene for me, The Great was also sick if we're limited to latest releases

Some parts of this show feel a little shock value but I'll allow it

Hype hype HYPE.

Season opener was a brutal, bloody ballet. One if the things I love about this show is that episode to episode, I have absolutely zero idea what's going to happen. What's this episode going to be about? Who's gonna be in it? No clue, and that's awesome.

The little moments are what elevate the show. After the gunfight and Ray is just sitting there talking with the guy as he bleeds out. He realizes he got all his best friends killed, and you see that even Ray realizes it and there a part of him that regrets it. Minimal dialogue, zero exposition, and theres still an emotional beat there that you can't miss.

I'm so fucking mad at everyone who doesn't watch this show.

The jail episode was a perfect example of the show taking you to a point you didn't expect. I don't think we've seen the last of his cellmate. My thinking is that we see him again the his experience in jail has hardened him.

He's totally going to regret the decision he made at the end of the last episode. They're setting up that rich guy as a nemesis.

I’ll check that out, thanks.

Man.

This show is so good.

Such a brilliant mix of goofy comedy, ice cold brutality, and heart wrenching sorrow.

Not surprised this last episode got a 9.0 on iMDB.
