I think that everyone who denies it is ignorant.

And the fact that half his opponents pissed hot doesn't allow Silva to cheat himself. Everyone who pissed hot should be punished, Silva inclueded.

Even without steroids you have the fact that the mw division was so weak during his reign. He has like 3 good defenses then it drops off fast.
 
1. Jones. Was destined to be the best ever. We knew this from the Bonnar / Vlad fiights! Destroyed the most competivie/entertaining/skilled division in UFC History! Shogun (Tapped to strikes) Brutally finished Mahcida. Beat Rampage/Evans. Beat Glover and DC x 2. Beat GUS. How is this a discussion? all KILLERS! No one has a list like that. BY GAWD.
2. GSP while not as good as Jones his APEX 2008 to 2010 he was unbeatable at WW and no one before or after could stop that. You can have him as a GOAT if you think the Drug scandals kill Jones Legacy


Now For Fedor!
He fought a ton of cans. Had few legit wins Big Nog, Cro Cop in their primes BUT the way he went out post Werdum was not good and does stain his legacy. People comparing him to MJ if they they he is the GOAT ,MJ beat the best in the best org. DId not hide form it. I understand Pride was better at the time Loved Dana when he noticed that but when you had the Tri Beasts of Carwin, Lesnar, Cain? Fedor was no where to been seen. Almost lost to a trye fiter then got tapped by Werdum, you guys know the rest. Getting KO'ed by Hendo. Go though his win list lot of them stood up from LHW too. Would of even liked to see him fight Pre UFC Reem fight him but he ducked that too. MMA fans while yes can have the memroy of peanuts and have recency bias i have neither. I was there for all that time and i said all this then. Fedor was about his bank account and his mystiquie.. Anderson would of beat him at LHW too. Sorry People to land a reality fact bomb on yas! Cheers.

The only time Silva pissed hot was after his recovery from a shattered leg. The second time was a tainted supplement and he was cleared. Recognize the pattern.

Also, look at Anderson Silva. Dude has a midsection like the Diaz Bros. If you think that dude was juicing his entire career, you're delusional.
 
Jones is already the GOAT, once he becomes the Heavyweight champ I'm curious to see what excuse the deniers will come up with then.

You dont use a PED that has a side effect of weakening bones to recover from a bone fracture.

Been arguing this with them for years. Its such a desperate thing to cling to. No, he didn't start using roids because of an unrelated injury. That's just dumb.

Way to immediately pick out the one guy he beat in his prime lol. And no, he's not. Fedor went undefeated much longer in a much better hw division.

Well it's a very significant win, he manhandled the boogie man of the division and then went on to best DC in a trilogy. He's the HW goat.

All those former UFC champions Fedor beat were way past their prime as were the likes of Coleman in Pride.

Thats fine if thats your opinion, but its certainly the minority opinion. Most people credit one of the guys that fought in a good hw division as the goat. Arlovski was definitely in his prime when they fought. Sylvia is arguable. Those were the only notable ufc guys at that time that Fedor hadn't fought. Cain and JDS hadn't emerged as the top guys until after Fedor was done.

For me personally, a title like goat takes more than beating Francis and going 2-1 with DC. Stipe has done little of note beyond that, unless you're really impressed by beating guys well past their prime.

Maybe on Sherdog due to how highly regarded Fedor is on here. Most MMA fans consider Stipe to be the HW goat.

And how can you say going to Brazil and taking the title off Werdum by knocking him out in the first round is little of note?

FInishing Overeem and JDS inside one round is little of note? They weren't way past their prime, he just made them look like that. His dominance has made the division look bad. Both Overeem and JDS went on to get solid wins after Stipe had beaten them.

And don't sleep on the significance of beating DC twice. DC should have been at heavyweight the entire time really.

It is unfortunate that we didn't get to see Stipe tested against a prime Cain though, the way Cain's career fizzled out was truly sad.
