Jon jones ties MM title defence record if he beats smith .... epic
A lot of people would also agree that the level of talent and number of fighters between 135lbs and 170lbs is much higher than HW.Well... depends on who you ask... nevertheless, a lot of us think an achievement at HW trumps an achievement at WW. One division is basically open to all comers. The other is a shelter from other, larger men who would be far more likely to beat you.
I respect the ride or die fans more. My favorite fighters are gsp, penn, and fedor.Yep. Pathetic is the word.
Don't mind if people have a different opinions but jesus you just don't like any fighter unless they go on a massive streak makes me think youre a fake fight fan. You don't really like martial arts.
all my favorites have come back from losing. I wasn't even a Fedor fan his fights seemed like all foregone conclusions but he's still the GOAT in my book.

If your born after 1991 you dont know shit about a goat period and youre gonna vote for gsp anyways bud... Gtfo
Did you actually follow the sport during that time? What a fucking dumb statement. Ufc came to him (Sylvia and Arlovski). So fedor should beat randy, mir and brock to recieve later hate that they were never that good? Ultimately dumb post.
Ufc is shit, deal with it. Strikeforce hws rule the division after organization absorbed. How many times ufc hypetrain was derailed but some people continue to believe.
The UFC HW champions during Fedor's reign of 2003-2010 were:
... The UFC HW division literally went to fight Fedor.
- Tim Sylvia (Fedor defeated him)
- Frank Mir (Fedor defeated him)
- Andrei Arlvoski (Fedor defeated him)
- Randy Couture
- Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (Fedor defeated him)
- Brock Lesnar
YES, they wereYou really think that Affliction and Strikeforce had better HW divisions then the UFC back then? LMFAO!!!
BTW, you forgot to mention JDS, Carwin and post injury/sea level Cain. Even though they were young at the time, they were still great fighters.
I'm a huge GSP fan and his record is amazing, but Jones has NEVER lost a fight. The DQ loss to Matt Hamill after breaking his face was not really a loss in my view. He beat Cormier twice and no one else at 205 or HW has ever beaten Cormier. I still remember the first time I saw Jones vs. Bonnar and I said this guy will be wearing the belt soon. It was so obvious he had all the tools right from the beginning to be great.I'll repeat myself:
GSP is the GOAT,
26-2 in MMA, 20-2 in the UFC
Avenged both loses
Holds record for the most UFC title wins (13)
Tied first for the most UFC title fights (15)
Tied second for the most UFC wins (20)
Tied third for the most consecutive UFC title defences (9)
Two division champion
Did not lose a round between 2007 (Matt Serra) to 2011 (Jake Shields)
Second for the most consecutive rounds won (33)
Won first belt in 2006, last belt in 2018, on top for 12 years.
Retired on top
Want more?
Most strikes landed in the UFC (2591)
Most takedowns landed in the UFC (90)
Most guard passes in the UFC (114)
Anyone who disagrees with GSP being the GOAT, disagrees with facts.
Have you ever heard of Jon Jones? He's the guy that kicked DC's ass twice. How is DC not on this list?
Brock was the UFC HW champion when Fedor lost to Werdum. They also had JDS, Carwin and Cain during the mid to latter stages of that.
Are you disputing something that was said there?
YES, they were
Ufc hw champ Werdum (strikeforce)
Ufc lhw/hw champ DC (strikeforce)
Half of the top10 guys back then were from strikeforce.

Literally, Jon Jones seperated DC from consciousness in front of millions of viewers. The man who is undefeated at HW and champion there. Not officially. Officially, Jones is a cheater and one of the wins turned into a no contest.
Who knows what would happen between these two if the snitch wasn't fed up with steroids?
