Nah still has to prove himself he is not the BW goat by winning a title by acting robbing the next desicion beating a one arm fighter and taking a split decision against a small old 3 years off the game cejudo

With a record of 15 wins and 3 losses in the UFC and a winning streak of 9 fights, he has already defeated 4 former world champions (Cejudo, Yan, Dillashaw, and Barao) and holds the title defence record. This is enough for me. If he secures a victory against another highly ranked opponent like O'Malley, it will undoubtedly cement his status as the greatest bantamweight fighter in UFC history.

What an embarrassing post

Counting WEC, Cruz had seven straight wins in title fights. Never mind the TJ injury, the split decisions, the DQ - Sterling's win last night ties him with Renan Barão for title defenses.

Sterling's nowhere near the greatest right now. It's not even clear he's second place yet.

And beating O'Malley ain't gonna do it.

I am enjoying reading the sarcastic and bitter comments in this thread. If Aljo’s name was Aljamov Sterliov, people would be hailing him as the undisputed number one pound-for-pound fighter.

Holy fuck dude, your posts keep getting worse.

Cruz, TJ, even prime Cejudo or Barao likely beat Aljo . I might say top 5

He…doesn’t have the title defense record though? Doesn’t have more ranked wins than Cruz either.

Not yet but I’ll vote yes just to piss people off.

only legit win is tj and even then he wasnt the same fighter

Nobody can claim a better resume than him under both USADA and UFC.

I'm a huge fan of Cruz so he's my bantamweight GOAT but Aljo is probably second or third at the moment if I'm being objective.

Yup. All of those wins top what Aljo has done. Aljos win over Yan isn’t aging too well. He narrowly beat Cejudo who is really, really undersized from a length standpoint for the division. Cejudo resume ain’t all that anyway. Great names on there that were either questionable decision (DJ) or guys that were at serious disadvantage (emaciated TJ, past it Dom).
Aljo would help himself out in the conversation if he could put some dominate wins together against the best in the division. Scraping by doesn’t look great. Dom, TJ, Barao, Cody (for a short minute) would blow guys out and look next level. Aljo just looks average.
I also actually like Aljo so not coming from hate.

Agree. Aljo obviously has ability but you’d like to see him separate before you start comparing him to the best ever.

This goat has trouble finishing apparently.

If you count his 1 WEC defense Cruz defended 5x. He was stripped because he was injured yet came back and looked impressive in his tune up fight, then won the title again before defending it more time.
