Unpopular opinion, but I think he could be the goat pretty soon here. They keep bringing em and Aljo keeps winning. Like he said, in his whole entire career he only fought 3 unranked guys, that's fucking impressive.

He beat a champion to win the belt. He defended it against an Ex- champ. Then defended it against another ex-champ. Then defended it against an ex-two division champ. A guy some people were trying to say was the greatest combat athlete of all-time (utter fucking nonsense).

Right now I have Cruz and Aljo pretty much tied. That is based on the resume of Aljo.

One more defense in his next fight would put him ahead of Cruz, imo. Unfortunately Cruz got shortchanged by injuries.

Close but not ahead yet. And he is now the lineal champion.

Didn’t vote. My answer is not yes, and not no. And I do know.
Agreed, super impressive to say the least.

He’s Jamaican so he gets my vote :). Objectively it’s Cruz, though.

I dont know.

It's tough, he beat yan Legit, TJ and Cejudo are kinda washed so I dont put much stake into that.

his most valuable wins thus far are the wins that got him to the title not his title wins. (Sandhagen, Riveria, Munoz)

I'd say Aljo is neck and neck with TJ and Cruz, but it's hard to say he's firmly past either of them.

feeling the same way, Voted I dont know.

He’s building up a nice resume in Yan x2(before it was easy to beat Yan), Dillashaw, Cejudo, Sandhagen.

It’s too bad that the fans will never embrace him for some reason, hmm…

You're not insinuating what I think you are, are you?

His resume has nice wins on it now. Yan x2 (I know, I know), Dillashaw, Cejudo. If he had a Cruz or Aldo then I'd say he's top 2. Regardless in years to come and everyone forgets the hate about Aljo then his name will be listed in MMA Mt Rushmore for Bantamweights

Probably still short of Cruz in terms of achievements in a GOAT discussion, but I think this version of Aljo beats the piss out of any version of Cruz, so hes the best 135er of all time in my books, if not the greatest.

I've never really been an Aljo fan, especially since the first fight with Yan, but he has convincingly beat two of the best p4p fighters I have ever seen in Yan and Cejudo, so I can't deny that he at least belongs in the 135 GOAT discussion.

I cant prove it but I would bet that the 15 people who voted yes are Israel fans. Its just a gut feeling and you KNOW im right
