Alexander Gustafsson 300KG Deadlift?

Don't believe it, that would mean that when I was 19 years old and weighting in at like 153 lbs that I would have been able to squat and bench pretty much the same weight as a pro fighter in the 205 lbs weight class who trains.

He has to be much stronger then those numbers.

not true. I have been at Jackson's mma for years and I know many pro fighters I can easily out l ift. Fucntionally they are definitely stronger and can push me around with ease.

But I have fought at 145lbs and used to powerlilft at 148lb and can out squat and deadlift a good majority of the pro fighters i know. They just dont work on that as much.

Let me guess. 10 pages later and something that wasn't even claimed is being discussed?

Congratz OP on the title!

That seems unlikely. Even I can't deadlift that much and I represent the average low IQ, UFC trained SherTARD.

Compare him to other athletes who are deadlifting 300kg, most of them are about 15 pounds bigger and 7 inches shorter.

The height part should not be a issue, if you look through the history of world strong man contests he would be closer to average height and they deadlift over a thousand pounds. Plus people that weigh less than him have squatted that weight, just saying it is plausible and not unheard of. Could also explain why his takedown defence is so good.

Wait what?
Lanky is bad.
Watch some World's strongest man... the tall guys get owned on DL events.

No. Taller athletes deadlift more relative to their other lifts. The taller you are, generally, the longer your limbs are in proportion to your torso so you are at a mechanical advantage. Ed Coan is the only person I can think of to pull over 900 who is under 6 feet tall.

Bennie is about 6'-1", Big Z is 6'-3", KK is 6'-3", Shaw and Thor are over 6'-7".

Gus is very strong. Think about all other Jon Jones fights, and the way he bullies or straight up throws other LHWs around like kids. Then watch Jones-Gus.

whenever you hear a someone's physical feats whether numbers or times, etc...it is always safer to believe what you see.

i pulled over 400 as a small 6'0 18 year old. a pro athlete of that size pulling 600-700 isnt out of the realm of possibility. he's most likely walking around at 220+ at 6'4...

So I guess I should stop using my height as an excuse for a poor deadlift.

Short guys still squat more?

No fucking way. I call bullshit.

If he trains for strength purely then maybe.

Bitch numbers. The average Sherdogger pulls that shit as a warm-up, just prior to pounding a supermodel and driving to his job at CERN in a custom Bugatti Veyron.

Job? You sound poor.

Anyone who believes this guy can deadlift 650 pounds + is some fat nerd who never stepped a foot inside a gym... Really.
You guys are acting as if being 6'4 helps in terms of strength.. I don't even know what to say.

If he really did.. Then He HAS to be on some special supplements..
