Alexander Gustafsson 300KG Deadlift?

Martin weighed in at 183lbs when he made that lift, which is quite a bit lighter than Alexander.

Top powerlifters/oly weightlifters usually cut weight too, even when it's a same day weigh ins. They usually cut less than fighters though, most of them cutting around 4-5kg ( around 10 pounds )

Not to mention they are juiced to the gills and strength specialists.

Comparing a fighter to a top ranked powerlifter, even lighter, has no relevancy in terms of " Powerlifter X can do this at YYY lbs bodyweight so Alex who is a pro fighter who trains H24, can certainly do 660 "

For the record Brock Lesnar's best deadlift was 720 according to himself, and the guy was built like a silverback gorilla back when he did it ( just post WWE ) and probably juiced to the gills around 300lbs BW.
Does anyone really believe Alex who is taller and is probably 80poundish lighter can do just 60lbs less than Brock ?
I won't even add that Lesnar has the perfect build for deadlift ( widest and thickest back of any pro MMA fighter by far, uran-utang long arms )

What is dead lift good for? Leg and back training?

Hate to disappoint you guys. But Alex said himself in a swedish interview that he actually is pretty weak when it comes to deadlift, benchpress and squats. He take around 180 kg in deadlift, 150 kg squats and 110 kg benchpress, acording to himself. I saw this interview maybe 2 years ago. I cant seem to find it now, but belive me or not :p.

However, acording to forest grifin, his teammates, and many others, he is strong as fuck when it comes to just holding on or pushing around you, so caled functional strange.

Gus himself said in an interview more recent that this claim to bench press 100kg, squat 150kg and deadlift 230kg.

Not too impressive for a pro athlete, but Gus's still the shit

Most retarded thing I've read on here for a LONG time, 300KG is classified as ELITE in terms of big-lifts, especially for his weight, he's not a strength athlete either, which makes it even more impressive.

It's possible. It would be extremely impressive, but there have been more than a few top strongmen/powerlifters with that viking genetics going on, so he would be in good company

over 1000lbs like it ain't no thang

300 kg is pretty good for a 205 guy. That's light work for myself but that's pretty good. Wonder what he squats, 600 lbs hopefully.

I weighed 180 as a senior and dead lifted 390 for a power lifting competition, I had never dead lifted in my life till about 1.5 months before the competition. 650 doesn't seem unreasonable for a professional fighter that is a big man and works out all the time for his job.

Nobody gives a shit about your stats .. Plus they aren't impressive at all .. that's the stats everyone going to the gym 3 times a week should get.

On top of that, you are so clueless about lifting .. Here is why : You probably forgot that in the first few months of training .. you get the most easy and quick strenght gains .. This doesn't last long through .. after a certain point .. lifting 20/30 more pounds on any exercice takes months to accomplish
Going from benching 50 kg to 65 kg takes you barely a few weeks.. going from benching 110 kg to 125 can take you months / a year .

maybe numbers look impressive but in the end who cares if it is 150-200-300kg, no big deal. mma is not weight lifting competition
in the fights he looks strong.

That's my warmup. Don't have a camera so can't film it sorry guys. Just gotta have to believe me.

Dude, I was in HS and didn't weight lift much at the time, I wasn't trying to impress anyone, I was just pointing out that Gus has a good build for dead lifting and I have a bad build for dead lifting yet I was able to dead lift 390 with very little training.

Way to be a jackass guy, i'm aware of plateaus and that you get more gains early on in weight lifting than later, literally anyone that's ever taken a weight training class in HS knows this, you aren't telling me anything I don't already know, you're just acting like a dick.
