thanks for the advice
No problem. You seem like a pretty good guy. Keep with the training, and keep your intensity. Just know where to draw the line.

i like the new mentality that i am having on the forums...respect people and they will respect u...its a lot less frustrating than arguing with everyone

I come on here for the sole reason of discourse and debate. I might help people out occasionally though.

"Respect?!? Why give them that power?!?" -Tank Abbott
Smart guy.

fedor4life: Just don't worry about being tapped or even losing a lot. Even experienced wrestlers lose a lot at (gi or no-gi) jiu-jitsu at first. Later on they become beasts. In the end getting a submission or being subbed is not that important at practice.

Ironically, I found that when I am concerned about tapping people out, I have a hard time doing it and even get caught much more than I should. When I wash myself of emotion (Fedor quote) and stop caring about the submission, then I perform at my best.

So leave your ego off the mat. Don't worry about being a star or a natural. Never be satisfied and take every roll as a learning experience first and foremost. Good luck, and I hope you are able to mend your fences.

I think the two of you's are feeding off each other.

Go to the following thread http://www.sherdog.net/forums/showthread.php?t=343768
and watch Jacare's HL video. Jacare exhibits proper aggression.

I also wrestled (and still do in my grappling training). I've trained with several D1 collegiate wrestlers, also. I've noticed that these wrestlers are usually not overly aggressive during practice. They focus on drilling and proper technique.

I think that's where fellow grapplers complain. We hate it when new, arrogant, guys (wrestler or not) step on to the mat and treat it like a competition or an MMA fight. I've seen it for quite some time now and I'm at the breaking point. If I treated my submissions like many new, aggressive, people treat training, I'd break everyone of their limbs. Hey...that's not a bad idea. fedor4life and Greoric, you guys wana roll? ha.

if u broke one of my arms, i would be damned if i didnt knock u out with the other

I'll be glad to roll with ya! As long as youre promising to be a challenge, right?

And damnit Cuozo you of all people should know that I am talking about intensity. Show me a wrestling practice without intensity, and I'll show you a team that doesn't win!

i dont understand your point...sylvia wanted to continue in that fight...u dont know what im capable of...there are two types of people, the people that bitch out when they get injured, and the people that get 10x more intense when they get injured...u ever hear that animals are most dangerous when injured???...u just gotta get that animal instinct...i love how multiple people talk about how they would break my arm if i rolled with them...u guys know where i train, u should show up sometime...and oh, i doubt the fight would even hit the ground, just some sprawl and brawl from me...and your shitty bjj takedowns arent gonna take me down when i have wrestling takedown defense

fedor... did you used to play offensive tackle in high school... and slap your teammates asses in the shower? honestly man, you are the biggest meatstick on these forums man. "animals are more dangerous when theyre injured.." hahaha, say that when you try rolling with a broken arm or ankle.

you remind me of those guys from 'harold and kumar' who just go around doing stupid shit yelling EXTREME!!! haha youre so extreme fedor.

i do not see your BJJ career lasting long what so ever.

look, i wasnt the one saying i would break someones arms, i was just defending myself...i do like mountain dew a lot, so i guess i am pretty extreme...who i should remind u of in that movie is doogie howser....cuz i do E and steal cars like its my job, hahaha...and oh, if u saw me in real life u would not call me a "meatstick"...i have more of a pothead look and attitude to be honest...probably similar to u, considering u are from hawaii...but seriously dude, what would u say if multiple people told u they would break your arm?? thanks for the input??...obviously not...if it came to life and death i dont think a broken arm would stop me from a relentless attack, and thats my honest opinion...and seriously, is that being a "meatstick" to have people say they are going to break your arms, and then you call them out on it and tell them to try??

and thanks for everyone that said my bjj career will be very short...just more motivation really, u guys think u know me from what i type on the internet...if u were to actually know me u would know how dedicated I am and how much fighting as a whole actually means to me...honestly i dont really care what people on this site think about me

Then I don't know why you're asking for our opinions if you clearly don't care.

Wow, you guys are really ganging up on this guy.....Time for me to jump in with a few words of distraction.

Judo Sucks.

hahaha nice man.

but fedor... yea, your being attacked... but for good reason. youre viewing BJJ in the wrong way man. people here time and time again will tell you that. it almost seems at this point that youre trying to be a troll or something.

fedor i think your mixing up learning, training and sparring i dont know much about wrestling but im sure when you first started to wrestle you werent a maniac until you learned the technique practised on partners and executed in comp :)
