Action Jackson (1988)

I call bullshit. We didn't get a black action movie star until black panther.
Fuck Black Panther in his world of Never Never, Jericho Jackson would tear an arm off all those motherfuckers

The how did this get made episode for Action Jackson was great.
I still crack up at “good cop and Heroin cop”

Did Sharon Stone show off her boobies in that one?

Yep both she and Vanity

<{MindBrown}> why am I just finding this out 30 years after its release, saw this on the shelf of the video store every time I was in there, if only I had known.<{ohyeah}>

With that being said, I don't know how many times I overlooked Goodfellas in that same store, but yet I went to the theatre to see Flatliners<{CMPALM}>

I will view this movie, thanks TS.

Man I didn't watch Matrix for 5 or 6 years, but I saw Tango & Cash twice at the cinema!

It’s a recent one they had Seth Rogan as a guest it was one of my favorites (although I thought Seth was funnier on his most recent appearance)

I was refused Tango & Cash as I was a very young looking guy in my late teens, early 20's, school kids were out for their lunch break, and the woman from Blockbuster though I was 15

It's a ton of fun.

Used to love terrible 80s action flicks like this. Would never get released today...straight to video. Now we get high quality action like John Wick, or terrible ones with Michael Madison or Nicholas Cage that are all over Imdb but no one sees.
It's Nicolas Kim Coppola

I saw it in the theater, I thought it was pretty good. I always thought Carl was a good charismatic actor. No telling why he wasn't bigger other than there maybe was only so much room for black superstars in Hollywood and Eddie was dominant.

Incidentally, I just watched a vid by an album producer of Vanity, he described working with her as a nightmare. He could only conjecture if she was that much of a diva on the movie set. Likewise, she never broke out either despite being beautiful and not so talented.

A-level athlete as well. Stallone talks about meeting him for the first time and, in spite of training hard for Rocky, Carl made him feel like the Pillsbury Doughboy as soon as he took off his shirt.

ya, oddly, Weathers claimed he was the best boxer and Stallone said that he was at the bottom, including Dolph, himself, Burt Young and his brother above him. Carl was impressive in the training sequences, fast as hell, faster than most pros on the heavybag but of course none of that means he'd have any sort of mental toughness for the sport. In fact, I read he stormed out of a scene with Lundberg when it got too rough.

You mean, straight to Netflix like 90% of the new crap you see on there.

I need to see this, I feel like it's the only significant action movie of the 80s I've not got round to watching.
