Makes zero sense. Why put the savior of the company up against a guy who may only fight once a year and only at certain times and certain places.
Haha isn't it a terrible fight for both ? Can't see any other fighter better suited to catch Khamzat coming in and knocking him out flat.Terrible match for Alex.

Things don't have to make sense anymore with the Saudis involved.Makes zero sense. Why put the savior of the company up against a guy who may only fight once a year and only at certain times and certain places.
Alex is close to 230 pounds in the cage, and Khamzat is around 205 pounds as a MW. Alex at 205 is definitely a different fighter. This fight makes zero sense, since Khamzat should wait and fight the winner of DDP/Strickland and Pereira has Ankalaev in front of him.Again, key point here is MW. Alex at 205 is a very different fighter, much stronger and not drained. Izzy would not be able to do that at 205. And I don't see Khamzat having much success either, despite being a phenomenal grappler. You got a 20 lbs size difference here and an opponent that can finish the fight in a split second. I just don't see Khamzat being able to survive the offeence.

How so?
At this point you’re just trolling.

Exactly this. The guy gets wobbled and dropped by LW Burns but he's going to walk through Poatan's punches. Yea, okay. The chin discrepency will be crazy. I'm not one of those that think Khamzat has a bad chin either. But with that kind of size difference structurally is way different. Remember Maldonado fighting Stipe, he took one punch from Stipe and his eyes lit up in shock like he's never been hit like that before.
didn't he just fight and bitch whittaker last monthNo way Khamzat fights anyone that weighs more than 170 pounds.
I think you missed when Jiri took down pereira with his first attempted takedown in the UFC, Jiri claims to walk around 210-215 so he's not even a crazy big LHW and he just took down Alex with a slow single leg. Alex also got taken down by izzy when he had a 20 pound weight advantage, his wrestling is so bad that it wouldn't matterWeight classes exist for a reason. This one wouldn't be competitive and Chimaev would get finished by strikes pretty quickly.
no on thinks he's going to strike with pereira, he's going to shoot a takedown and make pereira look like the godawful wrestler that he is. Periera literally got taken down by Jiri and Adesanya's FIRST takedown attempt in the UFCWill never happen. They don't want their favorite neckbeards chin being launched into the stratosphere.
The mongoloids in this thread saying "Haha Khamzat ez sub" should be ignored when it comes to all of their opinions on the sport.

I think you missed when Giblert dropped Khamzat with his first attempted overhand right in the UFC, Burns claims to walk around 180-185 so he's not even a crazy big WW and he just put down Khamzat with a slow overhand right. Khamzat also got taken to the cards by Kamaru when he had a 20 pound weight advantage and an entire camp, his cardio is so bad that it won't matter.I think you missed when Jiri took down pereira with his first attempted takedown in the UFC, Jiri claims to walk around 210-215 so he's not even a crazy big LHW and he just took down Alex with a slow single leg.
