Rumored Pereira vs Chimaev

So Khamzat wouldn't be cutting any weight. Full cardio Khamzat vs Pereira.

I love it. As long as it's before March. I don't want to wait til may for this shit.

Weight classes exist for a reason. This one wouldn't be competitive and Chimaev would get finished by strikes pretty quickly.
This is true if he was fighting him at his own game. If you don’t think Chimaev will take someone who has next to no ground game down at will you’re in for an awakening. He puts other martial artists through the wringer who have a decent and sometimes good grappling skills let alone Pereira. Don’t let those fake sycophant black belts fool you.

For those saying this doesn't make sense. It ensures the UFC has a star at the weight class no matter what. Khamzat loses he can always return to 185. If Ank wins (and his chances are pretty decent) the UFC has an unpopular champ.

Even by UFC standards this fight doesn't make sense

Khamzat goes up and kills a money making machine and the potential Jones vs Alex fight takes a huge hit

Then Khamzat has to defend against bigger grapplers like Ank

But Alex did hint he's not fighting Ank next, and post Conor UFC is always chasing the biggest fights even if they dont make sense in hindsight

Weight classes exist for a reason. Perreira would shrug Chimaev off like his kid brother and then hurt him badly. This would get ugly if it happened.

I personally dont want to see it, I like competition, but I don't like to see fighters get hurt when their out of their league. Same reason I don't want to see Poatan vs Jones or Tom.

Pereira is gonna weigh like 230 in the cage? Khamzat would probably be around 215

We already know that Khamzat trains and can take down HWs. The power coming back is an issue but I think this is a competitive fight. It will be a real test if Pereira can make it several minutes on the ground without getting sub'd.

This makes 0 sense whatsoever.

No I don't think he will, I think there is too much of a size difference here and I think Perreira's size and power will be too much for him. There is a difference in him doing to to guys his size or smaller and a guy who's gonna be 20 lbs bigger that has a significant striking threat to KO him at any point.

everyone he has ever fought weighed more than 170 pounds are you new to this ?
He has a fetish for former WW's and even LW's are you new to this? No way this weigh bully fights someone bigger.

Perreira would be 230 fight time and Khamzat around 210. Khamzat can do it in training, but we know a real fight is very different where the opponent is actually trying to hurt you. I think Khamzat would struggle with the size, perhaps he would get deep in some positions, but the concern is more the offense coming back. The moment Khamzat would take some shots he would go down.

Dumb fight but Khamzat submits him within 90-120 seconds if it happens.

Luke Rockhold is a big dude and a great grappler and Khamzat dummied him. I love Poatan, but if this hits the floor before he can KO Khamzat, he’s being subbed VERY fast.

Poatan was taken down by Izzy at MW. Khamzat murks him, dude.
