In a high-profile case of visa fraud, three Indian-origin men have admitted to manipulating the H-1B visa system to secure placements for skilled tech workers in the US.

"Kishore Dattapuram, 55, from Santa Clara, California; Kumar Aswapathi, 55, from Austin, Texas; and Santosh Giri, 48, from San Jose, California, pleaded guilty to charges of visa fraud and conspiracy in a federal court," a press release from the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California on Wednesday revealed.

Their actions were exposed through a detailed investigation by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), with an indictment filed in February 2019.

So? How is that an argument against letting them? The metric cited earlier to justify South Africans coming in was household income, not wealth brought to the country and Indian-Americans have ~50% higher household income than South Africans.

Afaik, Indians are the ones that scam H1B visas not the South Africans. Maybe more stringent control as almost 3/4 of H1B visa holders are Indians. I don't believe every single of them are as qualified as they represent and I've worked with some. Half were deported with fake documents and degrees in my former job.

I think the work ethic and spirit of some catholic nations like Belgium, or many parts of dutch country or even many of Germany raise a debate about it, so i dont really totally agree with them either, but against results there s no argument.

Until 1960 more than 85% of the population of the country had european background (so much for a melting pot), now its less than 65%. coincidentally its also when every single metric got worse.
