Well that's obviously not true, but if it was true, then that would take a runny dump all over the "fair share" argument the left like to use to promote envy, if 1% of taxpayers were already picking up the tab for 99% of the population. In reality, 1% pay more like 41% of the taxes while making about 14% of the income, so the left's arguments don't really have anything to do with "fair share", it's really just "gimme gimme gimme".
The actual number of people who pay in more than they get back is around 20%, and that number is higher if you take out retired people who are now "takers" because they already did pay in for like 45+ years.
Yes, they are in more peril. Is there some demographic group of Haiti you're saying are especially in danger, or are you saying the whole country is a disorganized broke shithole, and that's why the US should take the whole population?
There are also already like 900,000 Haitian migrants here and like 120,000 South African immigrants. You're just pissed because you're a racist and don't want them because of their skin color, which is why they are in peril in the first place.
