NHL 24/25 - Still did better than Vancouver

It's very regional here in the south. A big deal in the northern suburbs north of Atlanta and the yankee parts of FL (especially in Tampa, mothercanuckers love moving there for some reason).

If the market for hockey in America was as big as the NFL America would dominate. Enough programs would be made available nationwide and when the young talent goes pro it'd be all over.

It's not as simple as you're making it out to be. We just barely won gold in basketball. We have well over 10x the participation of youth in basketball than countries like France. Should we just say for the hell of it that if France decided to focus entirely on basketball then they'd murder us?

The best players from great programs will always be very good. As long as the USA and Canada have strong programs, funding, and resources then both are going to be competing at the top. We'd likely be better overall if more people participated but the main strength would be our depth.

Canada barely avoided getting swept with their country's best players.

We also barely avoided getting swept with our country's best players. It's a small sample size to be talking about sweeps.

I am treading lightly on betting the NHL today. It's risky since they are coming off such an event/break.

I have the Canes ML at -120, and the VGK -1.5 at a juicy +120.

Great game between the Jets and the blues
blues clearly punching above their weight class but still.
Great tending at both ends, Jets prevail in a shootout.

2 disallowed canucks goals. couldn't catch a break. i know what team the refs placed their chips on.

I just wanted to watch the game without distractions + stayed off here for the weekend... It's gone from page 42 to 56. Did I miss something?

smh, some of the worst officiating I've ever seen by NHL refs this year.

missing fouls, calling phantom fouls, not intervening during cheap shot face washes
after the whistle, one of which included a right cross sending the player into 'concussion' protocol.
pay fucking attention. do your job.

at least one of the refs took a puck to the dick in the canucks game tonight. it saved a goal too as the other ref had to blow the play down when the utah player was about to shoot at an empty net because the ref was down on the ice. took him a few minutes to get back up.

should have happened in the vegas game as karma for disallowing 2 canuck goals.

Zegras is a dumb POS.

Rasmussen is 6'6 220+, works hard in corners and can fight.

It might not be the next game, it might not be next season, but Ras is gonna get him.
