In all seriousness, they have Theodore out for who knows how long (my money is game 1 of the pl'offs after the magic beans kick in). They'll swing a move. The cupboard must be bare by now. They've done some CHL stuff. Surely they don't have any picks till 2040
 
Oilers are pretty terrible right now. 4 straight losses since the break. 5 straight overall. And they were pretty bad few a few games before the break even in the games they won.

Draisaitl trying to carry the team to some wins, but it isn't enough. At least last night's game was watchable, unlike the previous 3.
 
Florida gets Jones and a 4th for Knight and a conditional 1st.

Rantanen to be traded before deadline?
Since Blackhawks retained 50% of his salary, Oilers have ehough space (and then make moves next summer to sign him+ E.Kane now has limited no trade clause, probably trade him). Leafs (dont see this happening myself since they got Marner and Nylander, assuming they got some sort of no move/trade clauses), Knights (on brand to make a big move when there is chance to make one and Rantanen certainly fits the criteria).

Rantanen next to Eichel, McDavid/Drai or Matthews not bad at all.

Won't be the Leafs - no space, have to worry about resigning Marner and being in the Eastern Conference.

It would totally be on brand for the Knights, but the need help on the back end.

Oilers are a possibility. Jets loading up would be fun to see.


So, I haven't really been paying attention to the league this year and just looked at the standings. Holy fuckballs does San Jose absolutely suck.
