Roloson was the last really good one who you could count on to steal games. Before that Salo and Cujo. They actually had typically good goaltending for a while.

They drafted Dubnyk, but he didn't get really good until after leaving.

I didn't really remember Rolo like that but I probably wasn't paying much attention to the Oilers at that time anyway.

I think the only one that could afford him, if he was going for top dollar, are the Leafs.

Personally, I think he stays put. He's on a mission.
Hope so, I love a good loyalty story. He can always pull a Bourque and get dealt to a contender at the tail end if it doesn't work out haha

it's probably time for edmonton to get a better goalie when every time i look up at the clock it reads 5 past skinner.

Most of us in Edmonton want a good goalie largely just to see what it's like. We had Roloson for a few years, but I think only 1 when the Oilers were good. Management here never prioritizes it. Skinner has become a laughing stock around the sport too. But they're going to be strapped for cash again. I'm not sure what they do tbh.
Skinner actually outplayed Bob last year. The issue was Drai's hand injury.

Hot damn did y'all know there were NHL cards as pogs in the mid 90s? You can get a whole set for under $400.

Close to a finish, still Canadian. Conor strikes me as potentially loyal to Canada and would request a Canadian team?
Maybe. His wife is from Sudbury and he is from Southern Ontario. The leafs are a pretty safe bet no?

oilers were up in the final and Rolo got hurt I think. He was very good.

There’s a lot of people out there in the hockey world who love to say, “Winning is everything. It’s the only thing.”

But do they really mean it? How far are they willing to go? Maybe it was my size or just the way I was born, but I’ve always felt like you have to be willing to do anything — literally anything — in order to win. Even if that means being hated. Even if it means carrying around some baggage.”

“If I played the game any other way, you absolutely would not know my name. You wouldn’t care enough to hate me, because I wouldn’t be in the NHL. The way I played the game got me noticed by junior teams, and it got me drafted by the Boston Bruins at 5’9.”

What a great quote from Marchand.

The craziest part about this stat is that they gave McDavid a Smythe in one of those years on a losing team and Reinhart didn't even win it on the winning team. Lol.
