I know this is old but I'm just catching up on this.

I think Lando screwed up by not letting Oscar pass him within the first 1-2 laps after his team told him to. I understand he wanted to make a point, but (and correct me if I'm wrong) if Lando had given position back, could he not have tried to overtake Oscar for the remainder of the race? If he had passed Oscar then it's all fair play . Unless the team would have told Lando not to attempt to battle Oscar for first.

Also Max.....normally one of my favorite drivers....but what a little baby in this race. Also, did you know he was up until like 3am on the racing sim? Wasn't sure if that was mentioned 20x on the broadcast or not.

Lol Americans are for ovals or type of racing where everybody has a same car same chassis and so on so he does not have to be better then everybody else but consistent and with less mistakes

McLaren have the fastest car but still lacking in the strategy department. Why not switch Lando and Oscar at the end once the win was off the tables? They likely have the WCC but I bet they let the WDC stay with Max/Red Bull.

It was a good chance someone tried the one stopper. They should have switched lando and Oscar at the end, but lando making mistakes is costing him.

Also, seeing a sulky lando is funny to watch.

I want Lando to win but he needs 3-4 1st places to win Driver title. Seeing only 8 races left that's a hard road. I think Max is making a statement about Adran Newey leaving for Ferrari. I don't believe he has fallen that far an I think he is only working just hard enough.

Wow, wild race. I can't remember a race where 1st and 2nd were separated by less for a second for pretty much the whole race. F1 in 2024 went from a snooze fest of a season to a bonkers one.

Yeah. Didn’t make sense because he was ahead and on the straight. They were both trying to straighten out to get leclercs slipstream. Perez’ fault imo

Agreed. Sergio had a ton of room on the left to pass, it looked like he was out accelerating Sainz and then the crash. I felt bad for Sainz. But I was happy that both McLaren cars finished and are now in first for the Constructors Cup!

Sainz tried a hero double take over and went deep. He could have just taken the racing line I think and stayed ahead of Perez easily. But he is a racer. He saw the gap.
