Its hard not to give the Nats their due here. No quit, no front running. They had to grind for this.
This post nails all my sentiments as a pseudo red sox fan.Agreed. So many teams would have just rolled over and died after losing 3 games in a row at home and having to win 2 on the road. Even as a Dodgers fan I'm not even mad. Strasburg was a beast, Max has been a beast for years, seeing a great guy Howie an LA/OC fixture come up big was awesome.
Like I said they only person I felt bad for was Greinke. Loved him as a Dodger. Would take him over Chokeshaw any day of the week. It's a crime he only got 80 pitches and I have zero clue why they didn't go to Cole in game 7 of the fucking World Series.

Same. I’m a bleed-blue fan but I can’t help but admire the Nats. Strasburg is the kind of guy Kershaw wanted to be. I feel bad for Clayton these past two years, but let’s face it: when it mattered he asked for the rock and fucked it up this time.
They had Cole warning up right? Why didn’t he come out? I couldn’t hear at this bar I’m at.
Heard Hinch's Postgame interview on the radio. He said he was only bringing in Cole if they were up at the end of the game (guessing he meant the 9th maybe the 8th). Said he didn't want to pitch Zack more than he had been down the stretch, which is crazy to me. 80 pitches isn't that much and it's World Series game 7. Zach is 36 who the fuck cares if his arm falls off at this point. Some Dave Roberts logic there.

No it's not, especially not over the 2 ab's you are talking about with an ump known for having the biggest strike zone in the league.
Bunch of dumb dildos in here tn
