Elections 2016 Democratic/GOP Super Tuesday Primary Thread

Who wins the most delegates in their party on Super Tuesday? (Pick one for each party)

  • Total voters
    23
  • Poll closed .
They haven't been all that fair to Bernie in this election, either. It shouldn't be hard to find a roll call of prominent liberal economists skeptical about Bernie's economic policy projections for growth, yet they resorted to quoting people in that hit piece that weren't even economists by trade. That's...disappointing.

That...is in their character.

Media news sources aren't journalism, they're propaganda of a political agenda.

That's includes the left and right.

Each source spreads it's propaganda by what it covers, how it covers it, what it doesn't cover, and the reasons why they don't cover it.

In the same way NYT unfairly covered Bernie, Fox News didn't give fair coverage to Cruz.

I know you're not a fan of Cruz, so you're probably approve of their coverage. But that's an example of finding your own source of propaganda that appeals to your bias, and trust them.

I do, and you do too, we all do, knowingly or unknowingly.

Rubio took a huge hit in failing to garner 20% of the vote in Texas, meaning he didn't get a single delegate there despite only pulling 8% fewer votes than Trump, but that's all you're seeing, here. Remember that Texas fielded 155 delegates tonight (just shy of 1/3 of ALL delegates so far). He actually demonstrated much better demographic health and diversity of electorate support tonight than Cruz.

If we're looking at this week's polls: tonight was actually significantly better for Rubio than expected, much worse for Trump than projected, and about a draw (with a momentous and unexpectedly strong home state win) for Cruz.

Rubio's biggest disappointments were

Texas has too many delegates for how little the population is.

Should just be the popular vote.

Bernie did ok. 4 states to hilary's 7 with Massachusetts being almost a tie delegate wise. Colorado Oklahoma and Minnesota came thru at the end.

you guys realize its impossible for Bernie to win right? Hillary already got all of the superdelegates. Bernie has literally no chance of winning. Its not even possible lol.

my mom was a die hard cruz person for years and even she doesnt like him anymore lol.

My list in order of who i would vote for.

Trump
Christie
Kasich
Bernie
Death
Bush
Carson
Rubio
...........Cruz
Hillary

Sadly Ted Cruz is better than Hillary lol....not by much
Just a page back you listed "let's make weed legal" as one of your primary political concerns. Also gay rights. You said this is why you didn't like the classical GOP platform:
Trump isnt a republican. I hate republicans and democrats lol. Thats why i like him. Let gays do what they want and get married. Lets not have people die in the streets. Lets enforce our borders. Lets make weed legal. Lets focus on black on black crime AND police violence. 2016 needs a president that will make america somewhat decent again.

BTW hollywood always talks so democratic yet never gives black actors awards. Creed was great. The Revenant was shit.
Yet, here, you list as your #2 candidate the most hostile politician out of all 24 we've seen this campaign season (in either party) towards marijuana. Unlike Rubio paying lip service to the anti-gay crowd, Christie actually would have had the unilateral executive authority to immediately implement his declaration that he would impose federal law on states like Colorado, Washington, Alaska, Oregon, and California. Perhaps you think he's your #2 because Christie supported Trump, and not because you actually know anything about either of them or their politics. If you did, then you'd know that Christie and Trump are diametrically opposed on a litany of issues like marijuana or gay marriage.

Yep, you're a bonafide Trump supporter, alright.

@Gandhi - but Hillary's civil rights record is not as strong as Sanders'. And when you blame Sanders for people not knowing who he is, isn't that just another way of saying "uninformed voter"? Even if you're aware of him but just listen to what gets dished out, you're still just an uninformed voter.

As for the poor supporting the more liberal, I don't feel it's that simple. For one thing, Sanders' taxes are not going to be in my personal best interest, but in the best interest of the country, so I support them. But also because some candidates actively work against their constituencies best interests, or pander to them with zero intent of following thru.

So much emphasis is put on rhetoric, style, and name recognition and so little is put on the record. People talk about Clinton's voting record as a %-Liberal when compared to Sanders, but when you evaluate the important decisions that differentiate them and compare them to their overall record the difference is clear. You have to examine the record or you're just being played.

I fully agree with your point about assuming what a person should desire in a candidate. Nobody can know for sure. It's possible that Hillary supporters believe in the New Democrat platform that is a little more corporate friendly and militant (GOP Light). But it's just as likely that a huge % of voters think Democrats = Good, Republicans = Bad (and vice versa)

When Bernie SUPPORTERS openly admit that congressional gridlock will be the FAIL-SAFE preventing him from enacting his most batsh-- crazy plans, that is when everyone needs to get off the bandwagon and let (or push) that thing go over the cliff by itself.
No need to drag the whole country down with it.

Says a guy who named himself "Pelosi2016".

Nancy...freaking...Pelosi...................for President.

Seriously, dude, nobody fucking likes you. Nobody cares what you think. Not even Democrats.

I didn't say the only thing i care about is weed rights. You smoke bro?

Yes, I held you to the fire for your ignorance on all those issues. Christie has vetoed same-sex marriage (this was in 2012 in his home state). He has always taken a staunchly pro-police position on the matter of #BLM and police violence.

I realize you have very strong opinions about things you know absolutely nothing about, but I'm not here to pamper and console you and make you feel special. You're a grown-up, now. Probably freshly so. You say stupid shit and people will hold you accountable for it. Surprise!! It's called "life".

Me and Bernie are going to be sitting on the sofa watching the election results on TV & eating popcorn. You should join us.

I am unsure of whether you know how superdelegates or the word "literally" work.

If tonight is any indication of how this will play out that's directly where this ship is headed; straight into that iceberg.
Well, they had a good run. Outlasted the Federalists and the Whigs combined.

I'm pretty sure this guy is a troll, but when it comes to Trump supporters, it's literally too difficult for me to tell if they're trolling or just genuinely retarded (nod to Concrete for that phrase).

I just don't understand why Bernie supporters would flock to Donald if Bern drops out. Makes zero sense to me.

I've got a friend who's a bit of a dumb ass, he's basically like a real life version of this:

Anyway, he said that if Bernie can't be president then he wants Trump to be president, because he wants things to get so bad (basically alternate 1985 from Back to the Future part II) that it results in what basically sounds like a communist revolution after a couple of years under Trump.

Wtf lol. I want the world to end if my guy don't win!

Whereas Hillary will be able to get anything done? GOP hates her worse than obama.
