I see your theroot article, and I raise you an npr article

BTW, that root article misrepresents Sanders' support of the Crime Bill in pretty much the same way Hillary misrepresented Sanders' position on CFMA. He was very articulate arguing against all but the violence against woman act in any crime bill, because he had the judgement and foresight to see how it would specifically and negatively effect blacks.
Clinton has been wrong about a lot of big, important issues: Crime Bill, Immigration, SSM, Bankruptcy Reform, Iraq, Libya, Syria, NAFTA, TPP...
How many mulligans does one person get? And it is dishonest when she only just recently did that about face re: Crime Bill. Thats what I mean when people look at her 90+% liberal voting record, they take it at face value. If you dig deeper you see a pattern of betrayal of the left.
And what would you call her playing the race card and birther card in '08, if not using dog whistle racism?
Nobody has been as strong as Sanders has been this campaign when talking about racism (except Trump :/ ).
What issues are black voters wanting addressed that Sanders should be addressing?
And if he's not addressing it, then neither is Clinton because she's just copying and pasting his entire platform.
I have a hard time conceding the voting disparity to "Bernie not getting his message across". I see it as a combination of 8+ years of DNC groundwork on behalf of Hillary Clinton + name recognition + uniformed voting. Of course there are other aspects, I'm sure a solid % of black voters like Clinton for the same reason
@Quipling does, and that could explain her winning the demographic, but not by these margins. IMO.
