Elections 2016 Democratic/GOP Super Tuesday Primary Thread

Who wins the most delegates in their party on Super Tuesday? (Pick one for each party)

  • Total voters
    23
  • Poll closed .
Who would have thought that you need actual voters not just donors with deep pockets and pundits? Bah gawd!

Vyvanse son.

It was an accurate post I feel. I just skipped the formal reply and said what I felt that poster truly was trying to say.

What I said is accurate. Anung was trying to deflect a truthful statement about how some people claim that black voters are too uneducated to know what is in their own best interests.

Anung replied by posting an article which just elaborated on the lie that the poor, minorities can't think for themselves. I then followed up mentioning the fact that he (Anung) a self proclaimed Bernie fan has admitted he would vote against Liberal interests of it meant not voting for Clinton.

What you need homie?

It was a slanderous old goat style rant about CT/ Ron Paul nonesense which is not at play here. That basically kills any of the better points made.

I think the GOP idea that they go into a contested convention and ditch Trump then is a suicidal fantasy.

Trump would do the opposite of taking that like a good soldier.

Not to mention demoralizing their entire base.

i would never in my life vote for that crazy fucking bitch.

Trump will be the next president. I cant in my wildest dreams imagine the US citizens are that fucking idiotic to vote that dumb cunt into office.

If tonight is any indication of how this will play out that's directly where this ship is headed; straight into that iceberg.

google search "how do i move to Canada" went up 300% in the last hour.

Lol @ 'Journalistic Integrity' at the NYT.

Remember when they made a front page story of an anonymous source saying McCain cheated on his wife?

And that's just the #1 example off the top of my head.
They haven't been all that fair to Bernie in this election, either. It shouldn't be hard to find a roll call of prominent liberal economists skeptical about Bernie's economic policy projections for growth, yet they resorted to quoting people in that hit piece that weren't even economists by trade. That's...disappointing.
Like i said earlier. Donald Trump is better than Hillary. What does that say about her?
He isn't. It's impossible for Trump supporters to claim anything positive, comparatively, about him. He answer "yes" and "no" in the same sentence. However shapeless Hillary is she actually has a record, and she has a history of rhetoric couched in experience and knowledge.

I would vote for Hillary before Trump, but I'll write in my protest ticket for Mike Rowe & Bill Maher before I'd vote for either.

Love how Hilary didnt even acknowledge Bernie and went on the attack against Trump. Full GE mode.

So far....
Trump: 274
Cruz: 149
Rubio 82

The march 15th winner take all states going to be important. Rubio is looking pretty weak to me, but cruz still has a chance.

People draw these hard lines in politics. Trump and Bernie both want to make america great again.

Hillary wants to make her last name great again.

Bernie needs to do some spinning shit.

@Gandhi - but Hillary's civil rights record is not as strong as Sanders'. And when you blame Sanders for people not knowing who he is, isn't that just another way of saying "uninformed voter"? Even if you're aware of him but just listen to what gets dished out, you're still just an uninformed voter.

As for the poor supporting the more liberal, I don't feel it's that simple. For one thing, Sanders' taxes are not going to be in my personal best interest, but in the best interest of the country, so I support them. But also because some candidates actively work against their constituencies best interests, or pander to them with zero intent of following thru.

So much emphasis is put on rhetoric, style, and name recognition and so little is put on the record. People talk about Clinton's voting record as a %-Liberal when compared to Sanders, but when you evaluate the important decisions that differentiate them and compare them to their overall record the difference is clear. You have to examine the record or you're just being played.

I fully agree with your point about assuming what a person should desire in a candidate. Nobody can know for sure. It's possible that Hillary supporters believe in the New Democrat platform that is a little more corporate friendly and militant (GOP Light). But it's just as likely that a huge % of voters think Democrats = Good, Republicans = Bad (and vice versa)

I don't agree, as far as race goes it is a best a tie,

http://www.theroot.com/articles/pol...ry_clinton_who_s_better_for_black_voters.html

Just one point of view.

Also I said she was a clear liberal and her voting record is proof. Yes sanders is to the left of her. But calling her a republican light is not accurate. She was at the forefront of pushing nationalized healthcare as just one of many issues. She was wrong in the 90s about crime, as were many. That's not a dishonest about face (trade is imo).

She is certainly not using any dog whistle racism against whites to win votes. And being uniformed is not the same as Bernie has not been strong, like many on the hard left, at speaking to the racial aspect. He prefers to focus on class and inequality and his supporters expect blacks to just realize that they would be better off with more socialism.

His poor outreach and inability to make the case that harder left policies are what the black community needs is his fault. Especially when the policy differences are much less stark than what we are talking about on the R side, again where poor write are expected to vote for tax cuts for the top 1% at a time when the 50 year gini coefficient has skyrocketed.

Rubio took a huge hit in failing to garner 20% of the vote in Texas, meaning he didn't get a single delegate there despite only pulling 8% fewer votes than Trump, but that's all you're seeing, here. Remember that Texas fielded 155 delegates tonight (just shy of 1/3 of ALL delegates so far). He actually demonstrated much better demographic health and diversity of electorate support tonight than Cruz.

If we're looking at this week's polls: tonight was actually significantly better for Rubio than expected, much worse for Trump than projected, and about a draw (with a momentous and unexpectedly strong home state win) for Cruz.

Rubio's biggest disappointments were
