Elections 2016 Democratic/GOP Super Tuesday Primary Thread

Who wins the most delegates in their party on Super Tuesday? (Pick one for each party)

  • Total voters
    23
  • Poll closed .
I would say the people talking about black voters being lower IQ, and the only reason they do not vote for Bernie because they have not heard of him is fairly racist. It flat out saying they are dumber than others in one point, and saying they cannot research and come to their own opinions in the other.

I think saying uneducated blacks are voting against their interests is really just taking a critique of fx news fans and now trumpsters re poor white males and flipping it on its head. It's the logic that the poor should support the more liberal.

Of course it's crass and I can think of many reasons why it's bullshit, but I don't think it's outright racist.

It's wrong because

- Hilary is liberal

- Hilary is not a dog whistle racist using the southern strategy

- Hilary has a strong record on civil rights and race, arguably as strong or stronger than the burn

- The lack of brand recognition among blacks is Bernie's fault

- Cutting taxes for the rich while globalization enriches them are policies that are easy to categorize as against the working class

- Saying that voting for someone who has less radical but similar policies is against black interests is a much tougher sell. As if all blacks should be commies by that logic.

OK, how about Ross Perot effect in 92 and 96? Bill Clinton won 2 terms without ever getting 50% of popular vote. Trump can do the same depending on the 3rd party candidate. Lots of "Bern-outs" won't want to go to Hillary.
Bernie won't run 3rd party unless there already is a 3way race. Probably not even then because, unlike Trump, he is not a doublecrossing scumbag.

I just don't understand why Bernie supporters would flock to Donald if Bern drops out. Makes zero sense to me.

I dont think Hillary is evil. I just think shes a terrible person thats a compulsive liar and would say or do anything to get a vote.

I guess thats pretty close to evil, but nonetheless.

Bernie will endorse Shillary because hes obligated to. Just as Rafael will endorse Dolan if he wins.

Okay now you are going off the deep end. If what you say is so true then Bernie who claims he wants to win would mention it.

Bernie is not also obligated to support Hillary. What you think he can't think for himself or that he is being told what to do?

Because what you really just said is that you think Hillary is evil and that Bernie supports an evil woman because he is obligated to.

Now why would that be appealing?

Some are conspiracy theorist or radicals who believe that all Politicians are "bought". And that Hillary is evil and Trump is not 'bought'.

Mostly it's a protest vote. How an honest Bernie supporter could support a Cruz, Rubio, or Trump over Hillary is shocking considering the extremely different platforms.
If some people went to Drumpf because Bernie drops out I highly doubt it would be enough to make a difference. I've also seen people on the right say if Drumpf got the GOP nomination they would vote for Hilldog. Maybe they'll cancel each other out if it does happen.

it is already common knowledge that Bernie is in the race to get a position in her cabinet and is using dropping out and endorsing as leverage.

Read the news it tells us what to think.

I'm very interested in seeing the total delegate numbers for Trump, Cruz, and Rubio.
That's just impossible to do in real-time. Too complicated because you'd have to know the breakdown of congressional districts in the "Winner Take Most" states, for example.

I'll just wait for the calculators to spit out the answer when the precincts are finished being tallied.

*Edit*
BTW, for all the neophyte Trump supporters I'm seeing in here that are never in the WR and don't know anything about politics, the above blog will exhibit why Trump's general "win" tonight is a flimsy one. He was beaten much, much more soundly than projected in the biggest state on the menu, Texas, and he didn't win 50% of the vote in a single state meaning that he is nibbling delegate votes instead of taking the lion's share in the "winner take most" states. Rubio, Cruz, or Kasich either beat him or managed better than 20% in virtually every state which means they'll also gobble up those votes in addition to those Trump failed to secure with majority wins.

There's a good chance he won't be able to get to 1,237 delegates if this continues and the other candidates remain in the race (perhaps accruing momentum from his inability to demonstrate an ability to consolidate the GOP vote; ergo continuing to prove that his "natural ceiling" isn't a figment of pollster imaginations, but is very much a real thing).

BLAH BLAH BLAH "black people and minorities and working class whites are all idiots who can't think for themselves like urban liberal under 4p whites" oh and "only the rich won't clinton".

You are doing it again.

FYI Bernie thinks people like you are gross. I also wonder what he would think about a self admitted conspiracy theorist right winger libertarian who supports him out of some false identity politics thing.

A man who admits he would vote against leftists interests by refusing to vote Hillary in the general if she wins the Democratic nomination.

Oh go back on your meds

Just let it go. He lost. We can all breathe a sign of relieve now.

Perhaps a few that are just anti-establishment over all. But most will react in horror to the idea of a Trump presidency and hold their nose. For many, it wont be the first time they settled for a Clinton.

You mean Bill right? Settling for Bill?

Becausd who settled for Hillary before? She won popular vote and still lost to Obama in 08.

why the fuck did my state want Hilary?

It's called democracy
