Idk Jeremy Stephens said he would be a serial killer if not for MMA.King of violence in the arena and immediate vicinity. Go a couple blocks and you'll probably see real violence

NJ is such a unique place. i don't think we get many people traveling in to watch UFC and bare knuckle but it's a good idea to listen when even jersey people say stay away.Yeah Newark and Elizabeth are no joke. Camden is even worse.

Counter point Newark has good Portuguese and Columbian food
I grew up in New Brunswick in the 80s. No where near the worst but it has it's days. I'm down by Trenton now and we have 4 or 5 of the best pizzerias in the country. I've got around 40 states and we have some of the best food, and I agree NYC coasts on its reputation. Nj has the best Chinese food outside of the Chinatowns I've been toAs a New Jerseyan from Elizabeth, I’d say you’re fine to visit the major attractions, like The Rock (prudential center), but don’t stray off the beaten path. Basic street smarts. Same mindset you should have in any foreign place.
You’re correct about the food. North Jersey such a diverse place, you can really find anything there. Stumble into a random hole in the wall for Thai, Indian, Jamaican, you name it, and it’ll consistently be amazing. NJ pizza and bagels are underrated, as well. NY is better known for these things, but I think it’s just marketing. I’ve had plenty of shit pizza and bagels in NY.
I live in Virginia now, and I miss good food every day.

My friend just moved back after 10 years down south and says he'll never leave again. Food was his #1 reason for coming back.
Going to Newark for fights is like going to AC for fights. Stay where you belong and you'll have a good night out. It's better then going to the meadowlands in the middle of nowhere.
Stay Golden down there, Virginia is no NJ
KOV shit is an incredibly lame copy of UFC BMF but they have to do something. Till would have been much better fight, Stephens is just too small coming up, plus losing in UFC doesnt help either.
The non-Patel area of Newark is no joke. Sharks in the water + Sharks on land.Yeah Newark and Elizabeth are no joke. Camden is even worse.
