Same thing in most states, as I understand it, with the difference being that kidnapping is false imprisonment with the intent to commit a felony.

Aggravated assault (assault with the intent to do real damage with no regard for the potential long term harm) is a felony.

Ergo, false imprisonment, in this case, is kidnapping.

They believe their wants and needs are more important than yours, that they are the subject, and you are the object. their object.
