Fedor's Garry Goodridge win is one of the biggest in Heavyweight history.

Look at his fucking opponents ya dolt!
Yatsu PRO FAKE WRASSLER WITH 0-0 no MMA fights fighting a guy with 23 pro MMA fights
Schreiber 17-9 decent win
20-10 definition of a gatekeeper
Jan 1-4
Yatsu 0-1
Labasanav 7-4
Van dams 0-1 MMA

So goodridge had 2 decent wins and a 1 loss in that 7 fight streak. ZOMG SO AMAZING. Yet you fedor revisionist donks shit on GSP for fighting 30-7 mw champ coming out of retirement. Fuck outta here!!!
Says the 2017 join date.

Cool…don’t consider Anderson GOAT!

GSP AND JONES, 2 fighters who beat every fighter they ever fought and both have more top 5 wins than fedor. Thanks!

They only have more top 5 wins because it was easier to be ranked top 5 in UFC's WW and LHW divisions than it was in the World Heavyweight division in the 2000s.

The WW and LHW divisions did not have a Nog or CC who were knocking all the other contenders back down the ladder.

Sergei, Barnett, Werdum, Aleks could never get to Fedor because they lost to Nog and Cro Cop.

2000s HW was very deep and full of very dangerous fighters. Fedor, Nog and Cro Cop were just on a higher level than everyone else from like 2001 to 2008.

Jones has great names on his win list but a lot of them were very old and far past their primes. Plus the fact he was roiding while his opponents were clean just means he had a chemical advantage.

Shows how awful HW is if that’s the case

What has always stood out about prime Fedor is how fast he was. Quick as a cat. He also had excellent overall technique, awesome GnP, was always prepared, and didn't gas. He would have been tough for anyone at that weight. Later the slowdown was visible, more stuff got by, and he came to rely on big punches more - and since he's never been that good a technical striker, results have fallen off.

Fedor's Garry Goodridge win is one of the biggest in Heavyweight history........lmfao

Goodridge had lost more fights (via stoppage) than many men do throughout their entire careers by the time he faced Fedor. What is this revisionist bullshit?

Another way of looking at it is that Goodridge was 17-13 heading into his fight with Fedor....

Not sure if Goodridge would be a top HW right now
Maybe top 20 but maybe not? but Hunt is top 5 about 12 years after Fedor submitted him.

Arlovski is still ranked in the top 15 about 10 years after Fedor KO'ed him. Arlovski also just beat a young UFC HW prospect who was like 14-2.

Reem, Werdum and Hunt were nowhere near being the best in PRIDE but they are all top 5 HWs over 10 years after PRIDE folded. Lol

Yeah HW is probably worse nowadays but compared to other divisions it’s always been one of the weakest.

If UFC champs are Campbells... I agree.

Garry Goodridge was 7-1-1 prior to his fight against Fedor and that sole loss was against Big Nog. After losing to GOAT GG will go 6-1 in his next 7 fights.

Unfortunately Fedor doesn't get much credit for that win Which is kind of sad.
Holy shit Fedor clobbered him. Thanks for posting this fight.
