No shit, I laughed out loud when he threw the cucumber at the doctor. I watched it a second time and noticed the doctor didn't even flinch or laugh. Damn, she must be bored of her job even if she expects this reaction.

I'm no expert but Cicada life cycle is extremely "sad", if we use human perspective on it.
They live underground for over 10 years, and only get to mate for a couple weeks before dying off. It's not hard to imagine why they are "screaming on top of their lungs" for a mate when they only have 0.5% of their lifespan to mate. Imagine if you only can have sex for 6 months for your entire life.

I never had any success breeding cichlids except for convicts which are like rabbits anyway. Still cool watching how active they are as parents.

Orangs are insanely smart. There's one in a zoo that watched her keeper cleaning the glass. So she stole a rag and cleans the glass daily now.

Highly recommend The Octopus and The Orangutan as a great read. Stories about animals and their crazy intelligence from zoos and aquariums.

The fisherman Orangs is actually pretty old. I remember seeing it in a wildlife documentary years ago. While we are all impressed with the tool usage of great apes. I'm actually more impressed with Otters. The below video is also a couple of years old but is very impressive to say the least, can't find the actual documentary video where I learn about this.
