^Ya man I am for the ban also. After seeing what the dam Burmese Python could do. Those trashy Snake owners were way too many ruined it for real reptile herp guys.

Cool clip from the Bald Eagle's nest in Big Bear . The dad chased off a Hawk in the distance and you can get a glimpse of the eggs:

@jefferz I haven’t heard much but I’m sure there was plenty that were hit hard.

@TribalDrumz the ban isnt actually a great thing imo and isn’t going to do much good. Also the majority of the burms were actually from hurricane Andrew devastating a breeding facility not just from irresponsible owners. But FL does have a load of invasive issues and most aren’t ever going away. Feral cats and hogs are a much bigger issue but no one is going to touch the feral cat issue since it’s such a hot topic.

good insight Gabe. I respect a lot of the guys down in Florida regardless. I heard they are trying to overturn the law, that would be cool if we can get really responsible with it. This guy is epic built like 8 enclosures. I love the Roughneck , Black Dragon monitors!

Nice, whatever you do don’t follow/watch anything by Bryan Barzyk. Dude is a huge fucking loser, waste of space and needs to go away.

Do large scale reptile breeders have their operations in the open air like that Kamp Kenan guy or do they do it in a building?
One of the fish guys was using propane heat to try to keep his warehouse up to temp but the Co2 level kept getting too high. Since the only way to get the Co2 levels down was to bring in fresh cold air, he could only keep the warehouse at 55 degrees. 55 degrees will kill all tropical fish, even most of the cold water aquarium species.
Lionfish are thought to have come from a tank getting busted during Andrew as well.

I really enjoy that guy as well. I've only owned a couple reptiles over the years, none at the moment, but I enjoy his content. Do you watch Snake Discovery?

Most Herp places are inside but there are a few places that have outdoor enclosures. Luckily most herps can handle 55 and even lower for short periods of time.
I actually don’t watch any of the YouTube shows, I know there are some good ones out there.

Shiba dog breed cliffs:
-an intelligent dog that comes in a small to medium size frame
-renowned handsome fox-like appearance
-requires little grooming and can adapt to cold weather

I live right by a lake. This past year I seen a pair, by me, for the first time in my life!
They are huge!
I'm worried they might grab one of my my pups out the yard <Aug3>

@Zookeeper Gabe have you heard if there’s any plans or intent to try and vaccinate any primates that are kept in zoos against Covid? I took my kids to the Calgary zoo back in July and the gorilla exhibit was closed to the public for fear of exposing the apes to covid.

Yeah, some zoos have already secured vaccines for their great apes. Not sure what the plan is for us and our gibbons (lesser apes), but we aren’t even vaccinated yet.
