Great thread and posts. I hope people that didn’t experience the 80s first hand know how incredible it was. And how diverse a decade of music it was. You were allowed to explore so many different genres, MTV was new and fresh. Great Pop, Rock, New Wave, Metal, Arena Rock, Synth, Rap. From Men at Work and Human League to Public Enemy and Guns and Roses. From Bowie and INXS, to Poison and Van Halen. I hear some of the posts in here like Joe Jackson and I’m teleported back to 1982. Early 80s had such a feel. Such a cool time. Then the mid to late 80s had a different feel and were my High School years...Glam Metal, U2, Slick Rick, Run DMC, Guns N Roses, Ramones.
