80s/Electronica Your Top 1 80's song

I like musical scavenger hunts. Can you help out anymore? What genre of music is it? Are you positive it's from the 80s or does it sound like it's from the 80s but could be another time? Any orchestration/arrangement/sound style info will help narrow it down.

I have a similar story about Earth, Wind, and Fire's "Fantasy". I loved the song as a child and then it disappeared from my existence for over 20 years. I finally heard it on a station playing in a fast food restaurant and had to ask the manager what station they were playing. I looked at the time so that I could go home and look up the playlist online (this was about 2005). The playlist was missing the song! I called the station and got a hold of a station manager or some such and he assured me nothing was missing from the playlist. I actually hummed the song to him and he told me what song it was. An epic 20 year battle finally solved! It had been so long since I heard it I thought I might have made up the hook.



Imagine having the hook at 2:50 in your head for 20 years and not knowing who the F did it. I'd have paid good money for a shazam app back then.

Definitely this. I actually emailed Valerie Day, the singer a few years back to tell her how much I still love this song. She replied how awesome that is. She does jazz clubs in Oregon now.

This is such an underrated album. One of my favorites.

Very nice call on Randy Travis. His early albums were sick. All his stuff is pretty good.
