80s/Electronica Your Top 1 80's song

In fact, I did not know that, nor have I ran across that band before. Curious, how did you acquire such information? Sounds like very late 70's/early 80's valley girl.

I went on a Dire Straits kick a few months back. The guys I play music with with wanted to learn So Far Away. I read up on the song you posted, Romeo and Juliet, and recognized Holly's name mentioned in an article. I knew the song I Want To Go Home by Holly and the Italians. I had heard the song either on a soundtrack or compilation CD and it had always stuck with me.

I love the internet.

They had a couple of hits in the 80's but honestly, I prefer the earlier stuff off of Big Fun City.

Baby Hurricane, Cat Burglar, Laundromat Kat

love this song. I saw this manlet vato ganbanger karaoke the fuck out it one time -- to this day it is literally the best version I've ever heard.

now back to our regularly scheduled program:

The song mainly known on the movie Some Kind of Wonderful, an underrated John Hughes film

The internet is a definitive element. And you are very knowledgeable on the subject of modern music. Perhaps even more so than meets the eye. It's more of a tangent topic, personally. 80's music speaks in a tone that other decades do not, or cannot.
