Your least favorite animal protein?

Dude, totally get why Oysters could be hated. But man when they are done right they are amazing. New Orleans does em right. Great with Tabasco and a beer. Lobster on its own is over rated to me. Clams are great if fresh and done right. But I spent ha
F my life hating all seafood. Now I love it....just never opened myself before.
First Oyster Rockefeller I had was in New Orleans and they were lovely.
I like raw oysters as well though, just have to have the right condiment, I can't quite do them on their own or with lemon.

I haven't actually eaten it, but my answer is Balut. I hate the very thought of it.

I can’t stand Jewish delicacies. Gefilte Fish, tongue, Pastrami. Worst cuisine in the world.
Never had gefilte fish. I'm sure it sucks, though. But tongue and pastrami are both delicious. Jewish deli food can be great or it can suck ass depending on what it is. Chopped liver is the absolute worst. But I've had liver in Switzerland and in German restaurants that is good, so probably depends on how it's prepared.

I gotta go with lamb chops. They taste really weird to me and I don't like them at all. They are supposed to be some fancy dish here too. I do like the gyro meat from lamb.
Lamb chops are awesome, IMO. Turkey meat is the worst to me.

Had it in Italian restaurants and loved i Florence style, cooked it Florence style and loved it. Bought it from a shop here and it was absolutely vile. I understand "low and slow" but the smell was vile.

Even if it was the best cooked tripe in the world, I dont think I could get over that gross as fuck flappy gridded texture on the one side. Never cooked any myself so cant speak on that.

Ill eat it out of respect, its not that bad; I just hate it.

I dont live anywhere near an ocean so oyseters are a mystery to me. They look like a cold mouthful of snot in a shell, doesnt even look like food to me. The look alone puts them in the same league as balut and roadkill says my dry land ignorance.

Oysters are one of the most interesting and delicious things to eat on the planet. I once went to a restaurant that described the taste of a specific oyster to be "like a boogieboard crash" and you know what? it fucking taste like that exact experience. Only problem is finding good ones. Theres plenty, but just as many bad ones.

Maybe they're just smaller cows or calves than the Mexican shop I bought it but never again. The restaurant I had it in Vegas is closed and I didn't really like Florence much so that's that.
Ask in advance if someone can not make a tripe dish! Pretend you had it last week or something ;)

Rat sperm is classed as protein right?

How did u not like florence? Legit one of my favorite cities ive been to. Love that old city feel. They also have one of my favorite statues ever on display there, the "dick grab counter attack".

Muskrat maybe? Headcheese?

I didn't HATE it, I'd just been to Rome a few times more and liked it. I'm sure if Florence had been my first Italy trip I wouldn't have been head over hills. I did enjoy that it's so close to going out for wine tasting out in the country though and I've spent plenty of time out in the sticks as a result of that. I just don't have any desire to go back to the city. But, Italy's Italy, what's not to love?

There are a few I didn't like when I tried them. Lamb - gave it two chances, duck - three or four, rabbit - two, pollock is kind of rough. I think once was enough.

Salmon skin > bacon

I had nishin sashimi(herring with capelin roe) last week. While it was an interesting experience I would 100% not order again.

I like it but I can see how some people might not. It has almost like a sour/tangy flavor to it that some people might not like.
