Memento, Prestige, Dark Knight, Batman Begins. I enjoyed interstellar as well....especially when high.

There is memento and then there is everything else.

Memento #1, and prestige a distant #2

I guess I need to rewatch The Prestige, I watched it a long time ago and it didn't leave much of an impression on me.

Dark Knight and Interstellar. Gave up watching new films around 2015 so no clue about the rest. Also, can't stand Hans but Interstellar is one of the better modern OSTs imo.

Wasn't fun at all for me. It was boring. The entire premise itself is dumb. I agree about Memento.

Memento is kinda dumb too when you think about it. Oh I don't remember anything except for the fact that I remember that I forgot something. But I wrote myself a note so that helps. Please.

50 first dates version of the plot actually makes more sense.

The criticism of Memento being "dumb" misses the point. The film's backward structure mirrors the protagonist’s memory loss, making the audience experience confusion just like Leonard does. It’s not about being logically clear.... it’s about exploring the emotional toll of losing your identity and relying on fragmented memories to make sense of your life.

In contrast, 50 First Dates simplifies memory loss into a cute, feel-good narrative, offering a neat solution that Memento intentionally avoids. While 50 First Dates is sweet, it doesn’t tackle the deeper implications of memory in the same way. Memento is about the fragility of memory and self, not just how to make it work.

I remember really liking The Prestige back then, Memento was a fresh wind of Hollywood cinema as well to my impressionable young mind.

Glad you people have finally come to your senses about Inception, I was the only one in here fighting against an army of neckbeards when that long winded boring ass over explanatory piece of junk movie came out

Ole Pete never is wrong, it seems
I didn't finish that sluggish, pretentious piece of poo and never watched another Nolan movie after.

Sorry you can't AI your way out of this one. It's a plot hole and lazy writing.

That doesn't even make sense.

It was a memory before his accident. He just can't make new memories. It's explained in the first scene.

I feel Memento and Prestige are his best and most balanced films even though I will always have a soft spot for TDK.

Inception and Tenet. Nolan's big issue is he sets up weird story structure like in dark Knight with the random two face demi climax after the big climax. Interstellar same issue, having to survive, re dock, black hole then meeting family then going to planer. For same story. The prestige is too up it's own ass and full of constant plot holes and stupid characters. You'd notice it was twins after playing the same guy. I mean think about it. The entire movie required for several people not to notice twins playing the same people for decades. It's moronic. Reality isn't some Lindsey lohan trading places insanity. No. Even for sci Fi it's pushing basic logic.

Oh so now he has memories

I've seen some of his films this week again, and my ratings would be

Prestige 9/10
The Dark Knight 9/10
Memento 8.5/10
Inception 8/10
Begins 8/10
Following 7.5/10
Rises 7/10

I've cooled down a bit on him after years but still really enjoy them. Will see how the other go

Surprised at the lack of love for Oppenheimer. I saw it earlier this year and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was.

It gave me confidence that Nolan still has it after being disappointed with Dunkirk and hearing that Tenet sucked.
