You think Mir can Beat Overeem?

I'm not a fan of either of them (well I like to watch their fights, but not listening to them), but if the odds are good on Overeem's favor I might place a bet.
1st round KO/TKO.
Terrible match-up for Mir, he is way better than Alistair on the ground, but the fight starts standing, and aside from pulling a Kongo again I don't see how Mir could win this.
Overeem started strong against Bigfoot and Browne, and like every time in his career when an opponent doesn't fold, he folds himself (well for the Silva fight he was kinda playing around, stupid thing to do).

Since his PRIDE days we were always saying "AO is one of the best fighters in the world in the first few minutes, and after that he becomes a gassed glass-jawed punching-bag".

And since Mir's chin got tagged so much (even jabs from a "done" Big Nog rocked him badly) his jaw became AA/AO level.

I'm going to watch the odds for this one, I don't bet on MMA very often (a couple of times a year on average) but if the odds are good i'm definitely going to put some $$$ on Overeem for a 1st round stoppage.

If that happen, Mir will be 0-4 in his last 4 fights. Do you think Sherdog will have him drop a little bit in their HW rankings? Maybe going from n

I guess he "can" obviously but

I dont see any way this fight can go good for mir besides catching Overeem with a shot like he nearly KOed Kongo with.

Mir folds under pressure (Overeem is a beast when it comes to pressure in the 1st round) Mir is pushed up against the cage and held there easily (where overeem will unleash worse than Carwin did) Franks chin is questionable at best (Overeem hasnt shown the greatest chin but he certainly doesnt seem to fold as easily as Mir)


He has been finished by Carwin, Jds, Barnett, Lesnar, Vera, and was nearly finished by Big Nog in the second fight..
Overeem is probably a better striker than anyone on that list and hits harder than any one (ARGUABLY CARWIN HITS HARDER)

The only way I see this fight going is brutal first round KO from Overeem. Knees and punches

I can see Reem dropping him and Mur catching an armbar while Alastair is trying to ground and pound in the guard or maybe mur can get a heel hook. But I say reem first round tko.

I think either guy can take this fight....and Mir has a good shot I believe. Info favor reem in this one though by tko. He's just looked better, even in his losses he as doing well. Mir has been dominated his last few fights

When you say "he can be beten by anybode' you mean high caliber fighters, top 10. Then, if you mean top 20 or something, you are wrong. I don't see fighters like brendan schaub, stefan struve, roy nelson(he has ko power, by he'll never land someting on overeem, too much skills difference) Soa, barrnet or mir.


P.S: I was talking about brendan schaub before he got soulless by Ben . The shut down schaub is too much for everyone. I heard he can control the time
