You think Mir can Beat Overeem?

I guess he "can" obviously but

I dont see any way this fight can go good for mir besides catching Overeem with a shot like he nearly KOed Kongo with.

Mir folds under pressure (Overeem is a beast when it comes to pressure in the 1st round) Mir is pushed up against the cage and held there easily (where overeem will unleash worse than Carwin did) Franks chin is questionable at best (Overeem hasnt shown the greatest chin but he certainly doesnt seem to fold as easily as Mir)


He has been finished by Carwin, Jds, Barnett, Lesnar, Vera, and was nearly finished by Big Nog in the second fight..
Overeem is probably a better striker than anyone on that list and hits harder than any one (ARGUABLY CARWIN HITS HARDER)

The only way I see this fight going is brutal first round KO from Overeem. Knees and punches

Well, that's also what was supposed to happen in the last two Overeem fights.

Honestly, I think it's a toss up.
 
Reem folds from pressure too.

Whoever hits the other guy first wins this fight.

Mir will handle overseem easily. Mir is way too durable. Reem can't finish him. He survived crockpot and tank Abbott. I had him winning the fight with JDS until the KO punch
 
I think almost any great fighter CAN beat Overeem considering his pathetic cardio, glass jaw, deteriorating body, and questionable heart.

I also happen to believe that Mir is a great fighter, the only issue is that he is at the point of his life where he is starting to possess those exact same qualities and weaknesses that Overeem has.

Nope. But Mir still has a chance. Loser leaves town match.

lol yeah he had JDS on the ropes for sure.

Think Overeem smashes him in the first.
 
i know he can. and both HWs are safe as long as loser is willing to take a paycut. you people saying "loser leaves town" know that ufc needs all the HWs they can get?!
 
I just think that Overeem can withstand anything Mir throws him in the first round..(besides a kongo smash) and Mir will not be able to take what The Reem throws at him....

Also... I am not in anyway an Overeem fan and I am a huge Frank Mir fan.. Just to clear that up. I think overeem is a roided up or was a roided up fighter with an annoying personality
 
He absolutely can, but I just don't think he will because he has poor takedowns and his striking isn't as good as Overeem's but both guys react horribly when hurt so if Mir hurts him it's likely over, same for Mir if he gets hurt.
 
It's very tough match-up for Mir indeed, but Reem doesn't like getting pushed hard either.

He should probably try to keep distance and moderate pace, not to allow Reem to bull rush , put him against cage and swing.

good point. Do you think Mir can push Overeem up against the cage though?
I think Overeem is gonna push Mir against the cage and unload and finish him

And he's under extreme pressure to live up to his high profile billing, Reem without his "JUICE" box is not a confident fighter. Mir should start thinking about taking his act to the fight commentating booth God knows he's got the vocabulary for talking...
 
Any heavy hitter has a chance against Overeem.

However Frank is as durable as a paper towel so i'm going with Overeem.
