This is how i see the fight going. Who lands the first solid blow will win.
 
I wouldn't bet on mir. Still he has the chance. He has pulled some crazy *couch*lucky*couch* wins before.
 
Neither fighter is known for their cardio... neither fighter is known for their chin....If by some miracle (and I do mean "miracle")if Mir can survive the first round onslaught that we all expect him to be on the business end of....he may be able to tire out Reem, and pull guard and work a sub off his back......hopefully in Mir's guard Reem would be too over aggressive and Mir and grab an arm or transition into a leg lock.....Mir's only chance to get Reem down would be to pull guard or some sort of an inside leg trip....if he attempts a double leg or another conventional take down attempt I see him eating a knee and getting pummelled
 
Just got a feeling Reem is gonna retire him lets dace it he has the tools to just destroy Mir worse then he has been hurt in the cage before. of course hopefully he recovers.
 
I like Mir and dislike overeem. But with that said, Reem wins easy at this point.

The only way Overeem unleashes worse than Carwin did is if he puts actual anvils in his gloves.
 
Survive 3 minutes against Reem = win.

Mir has a shot at surviving 3 minutes against anybody.

He's a dog, but he has a shot.
 
i don't think so. the reem is still dangerous. overeem probably would've finished travis if he'd just sticked to the knees to the body instead of punching himself out on travis guard.
 
Mir is terrible in the clinch and theres no way in hell he beats Reem from close quarters. Reem ragdolled Bigfoot and Rogers to the ground like they were little children and if he ties up with Mir who got controlled and beat up by every strong guy he ever fought its not going to end well for him.

I think the Reem murders Mir in the clinch the second they tie up and thats all she wrote.

As far as kick box is concerned I suppose Mir CAN land a power punch to shatter Reem's glassjaw but the Reem can do the same to him and is bigger and a MUCH, MUCH better kick boxer than Mir is.

Mirs only chance is a miracle shot KO while Reem is closing the gap and even then probability of that happening is no greater than Reem absolutely murdering him early.

Reem has a glassjaw but so does Mir.
 
If you asked this question 2 years ago, i would say you were out of your mind and that Mir would get destroyed, but after those lackluster performances (fights Overeem SHOULD have won) i actually think Mir might have a chance.
Alistair Overeem = Future Bellator HW Champ, he'll also break a record for "the most groin shots ever in a single fight" against Kongo.
 
I don't think he can withstand the Overeem blitz like others have
 
Yep I think Mir's only chance is to land a huge shot (like against Kongo) or weather a storm and win. (like Travis Browne did, but I don't think Mir can)
 
On paper? Nah.

Tho I wouldn't be surprised if Overeem dug deep and found a way to lose.
 
Watch Mir pull guard and win by triangle or armbar. That would be sweet..
