You shouldn't be allowed an opinion on Jon Jones and his cocaine use!

I can have an opinion on anything, unjustified or not.

We shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion. ..

your opinion of us not being allowed to have an opinion shouldn't be allowed

Who gives a fuck what coke head/addict thinks

I know that's a bold statement but let me explain. Jones was not informed that he would be tested for street drugs, in fact he was told he wouldn't be. The NAC screwed up so bad on this and they will probably end up paying hugely. Jones has a multimillion dollar lawsuit against them just waiting to be filed (I say that figuratively I don't know if he's actually going to sue). The fact that this went public is a horrible violation of Jones' privacy. The reason you shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion on this is, the information should not be available to you. We should not know that Jon Jones did cocaine. If he was at a party and the police or DEA came in, and he was in possession of cocaine, that would be when we should be allowed an opinion. Not to mention that the consumption of cocaine is not against the law, it's the possession, sale and trafficking that is highly illegal.

Do I think doing cocaine is good? No. That being said, it doesn't matter what I think Jon Jones gets to live his life. Do I hope that he never does cocaine again? Yes. I love watching this guy fight and don't want to see him slip. Harder drugs are a slippery slope to maneuver. Again though it's his life.

His rehab stint (although again it's none of our business) isn't so scandalous either. When checking into rehab Jones did a drug test, told the doctors about his history with cocaine use and underwent their evaluation. If the doctors said he didn't need in patient treatment, then why would he stay? There are people who need those beds and rooms. Not all of the facts are out on this and I am eager (although I shouldn't be allowed to be) to hear Jones' account of all of this.

Finally everyone who is sitting in judgement over this situation needs to take a step back and realize that we all make mistakes. Jon Jones is in a unique situation and you have no idea how you would respond to it. So please get off your high horse that shouldn't exist and leave your judgements out of this. The people who should be being judged and judged harshly are the Nevada Athletic Commission. Judge their ineptitude, judge them for taking away Jon Jones' privacy, and judge them making it possible for you having an opinion you shouldn't be allowed to have.
Maybe we shouldn't have the information but we do, and because of that we are allowed to have an opinion about it.

dont worry that's noted ts let's not post opinions anymore guys

Jones has shown more dedication and hard work than anybody here to be the best in the world at something.
He rightfully shouldn't give a fuck what we think.

That being said, this topic is prime troll bait.

It's not a performance enhancing drug, so nobody should give the slightest of fucks.

OP fvcked up his terminology.

You absolutely can have an opinion on this subject.

You are just intellectually worthless if you conflate an erroneous drug test, which only revealed trace amounts, into an addiction problem destined to dethrone the champ.

1. Some people hate the champ. They pile on any chance they get. These people are intellectually worthless due to their bias.

2. Some people hate drug use. They destroy the character of anyone that indulges in the substances they deem inappropriate. They have been propagandized to believe they are morally correct to do so. They are intellectually worthless because they ignore drugs (Caffeine, Alcohol, Aspirin, Tylenol, etc), sometimes not realizing that these substances are drugs in the first place.

3. Some people are contrarians. They are much like hipsters in that, they are likely to have loved jones around the time of his first UFC fight. When he gained popularity, these snobs had to distance themselves from the crowd. These people are intellectually useless because their own self worth, and the ability to judge others, is based largely on how unique your/their perspective is.

4. Rogan-Bless, some people are racist. It's interesting cross-referencing Conor fans with Jones haters. They are both cocky, flashy, supreme athletes.

Here's my opinion. It's absolutely possible that Jones was partying one night, did blow one time, and mistakenly got tested for it. It is not appropriate to assume that he has a drug abuse problem. You are not being pragmatic doing so. It's just an excuse for basic b!tches to assassinate the character of someone they disdain.

Strictly from a legal perspective, you definitely seem to have a point.

Sorry for starting this S storm and getting busy. So, by "allowed" (for those of you out there that didn't read or maybe didn't comprehend the what I was getting at) I meant we shouldn't have been given the allowance to see the test and therefore form an opinion. It's not the fault of anyone in here that they do have an opinion on this, it's the fault of the NAC.

So please have an opinion, I would never pretend to have the right or ability to take away your freedom to think let alone your freedom of speech. Just know that none of us should be having this conversation... if things would have been handled correctly. They weren't handled correctly therefore we do all have opinions one this. I am not arrogant enough to act like I'm giving people permission to post but if you thought I was saying not to post please realize I am in favor of everyone posting their opinions, whether they be thought provoking and well thought out or if they make you wonder if the person posting has any intellect at all.
