You shouldn't be allowed an opinion on Jon Jones and his cocaine use!

The effects of cocaine are only a few minutes long. steroids however, last for as long you keep doing them...Cocaine is NOT a performance drug. any expert will tell you that. If anything, they do the opposite...

Unless jon was back stage 5 minutes before going out to fight, it will not have an effect.

Lol, good post. He'd have to be doing a line in between rounds and even then I seriously doubt it would be a performance enhancer.

TS shouldn't be allowed an opinion on whether or not we should be allowed an opinion.

IMO.

TS is partially correct at least insofar as "legality" of the cocaine metabolites in his system.

100% correct that the laws on the book prohibit possession, distribution and manufacture of the drug.

It is 100% perfectly legal to use cocaine in the USA. There are however legal limitations on what you are allowed to do while under the influence of cocaine! There are also restrictions (not laws) on positive tests for cocaine in certain situations (Like consideration for employment etc. . . )

My friends, if you apply for a job and melt the cup with your coke pee:

1. It is outrageously illegal for the testing facility to release the information to any entity that YOU PERSONALLY did not sign authorization for. Your positive test result IS NOT getting sent to the Police FFS!!!!! WTF is wrong with you dips? You own the testing facility if they F' up here!!!!!!

2. When the company that you are applying for receives your failed test, they are empowered to not offer you employment. WTF do you wierdo's NOT UNDERSTAND about that? Again, the company cannot release this data, and if they were "F"'d up enough to do so again, you own them!

It is 100% perfectly legal to get drunk. You however cannot legally operate a motor vehicle while drunk. This is the way it works.

It has already made it through the S.C. that illegal drugs detected in screenings do NOT satisfy the legal requirement to be considered "possession".

It has also been made immensely clear that not only is testing positive for cocaine 100% legal on a Federal level, it is also 100% OK with the NAC in out of competition testing.

Jon will make many times more $$$ when the smoke clears on the NAC/ Zuffa/ UFC than he will have accumulated to date in MMA financial compensation.

I don't give a flying "F" how bad Jon might not even want to pursue this legally. The vulture lawyers won't give him a moments rest trying to get this case.

Cocaine makes you not scared and extra confident. More performance benefit than roids.

For the record I despise Cocaine except for the way it smells.

Lol.

But you're not doing very good coke if you can hold your shit together well enough to sit through getting your hands taped, much less let that guy frisk you right before you get in the octagon.

You shouldn't be allowed to make threads.

As soon as the commission saw that a coke test result came back, and they realized it shouldn't have even been tested for, they should have asked for new documentation with the cocaine result removed. The fact that they didn't shows that they are not as in bed with UFC as people claim.

I know that's a bold statement but let me explain. Jones was not informed that he would be tested for street drugs, in fact he was told he wouldn't be. The NAC screwed up so bad on this and they will probably end up paying hugely. Jones has a multimillion dollar lawsuit against them just waiting to be filed (I say that figuratively I don't know if he's actually going to sue). The fact that this went public is a horrible violation of Jones' privacy. The reason you shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion on this is, the information should not be available to you. We should not know that Jon Jones did cocaine. If he was at a party and the police or DEA came in, and he was in possession of cocaine, that would be when we should be allowed an opinion. Not to mention that the consumption of cocaine is not against the law, it's the possession, sale and trafficking that is highly illegal.

Do I think doing cocaine is good? No. That being said, it doesn't matter what I think Jon Jones gets to live his life. Do I hope that he never does cocaine again? Yes. I love watching this guy fight and don't want to see him slip. Harder drugs are a slippery slope to maneuver. Again though it's his life.

His rehab stint (although again it's none of our business) isn't so scandalous either. When checking into rehab Jones did a drug test, told the doctors about his history with cocaine use and underwent their evaluation. If the doctors said he didn't need in patient treatment, then why would he stay? There are people who need those beds and rooms. Not all of the facts are out on this and I am eager (although I shouldn't be allowed to be) to hear Jones' account of all of this.

Finally everyone who is sitting in judgement over this situation needs to take a step back and realize that we all make mistakes. Jon Jones is in a unique situation and you have no idea how you would respond to it. So please get off your high horse that shouldn't exist and leave your judgements out of this. The people who should be being judged and judged harshly are the Nevada Athletic Commission. Judge their ineptitude, judge them for taking away Jon Jones' privacy, and judge them making it possible for you having an opinion you shouldn't be allowed to have.

Bullshit other fighters got punished big by the ufc for just weed. If he is not punished by the ufc like the fighters did for just weed it would be a complete joke. They need to make an example out of a star fighter to show that this behavior is not tolerated.

I am allowed to have an op on anything I want. Go away Commie!

What the fuck have you been smoking? Everyone is allowed to have an opinion on whatever the fuck they want.

Lol, good post. He'd have to be doing a line in between rounds and even then I seriously doubt it would be a performance enhancer.

This guy has never done Coke it last longer then that.

Yes! We need lobotomy to cure people of having opinions.

We should all perform like robots.

What the fuck have you been smoking? Everyone is allowed to have an opinion on whatever the fuck they want.

Especially on a DISCUSSION forum.

Thread titles like this are beyond pathetic.

"You're shouldn't be allowed an opinion"....on a discussion board forum. lol

Epic fail, right out the gates.

I'm not allowed to have an opinion? How about fuck off with your authoritative bullshit? Yeah that's better.

everyone has a right to an opinion. The problem is just the biggest idiots are always the ones most adamant about sharing it with the rest of the world.
Case in point, Jones haters and social media.
