He is a slow starter, isn‘t a KO artist, has a very unimpressive physique and is the quiet type, yet based on his record he has to be 2-3 wins away from a TS I guess?

His performance against Dolidze (ok, who is questionable) was jaw-dropping. He has very good wrestling (despite the fact he only wrestled in high school apparently) and very sound boxing, has the submission threat and first and foremost, has an unlimited gaz tank and is durable.

I see him being a problem for every top 5 fighter and could absolutely see him winning the belt. Just one of those guys who in isolation don‘t have anything amazing but someone manage to package it in a way that works perfectly.

So, I would like for us to discuss Fluffy Hernandez.

My analysis. These are the rankings. Dricus shouldn't get it. Nor should Sean, Reindeer, or Izzy. Caio and Rob lost their last fights too. Fluffy and Allen are the only two in the top 9 (aside from Imavov) with wins in their last fights, and Fluffy beat Allen relatively recently. I guess MVP is also in the mix but he wants to fight at WW I think. Then there's Costa with his beef with Khamzat I guess puts him in the mix somewhat too.

Thanks. Yeah that makes sense. In any case you say 1 win away, I say 2-3 wins away. I think we are overall in agreement that Fluffy could quite possible be champ in 2026.

Yeah, we are. Fluffy has the best chance out of all these guys to win the belt imo. But honestly I don't think any of them are going to beat Khamzat and he's probably going to have a LONG title reign. At least in the current landscape and what it's looking like.

BTW in that other Khamzat thread which is like 5 pages long only 3 or 4 posters mentioned him. He is vastly flying under the radar. Which I think is good for him BTW, so he doesn‘t get tempted with stupid social media shit and drama (Nina & other).

Middleweight Merab, world class weaponised cardio. It's gonna be real hard to beat this guy over 5 rounds besides catching him early with something like Kevin Holland did.

Agree...except Khamzat showed perfect energy management vs Dricus and I think that's the key for him beating a guy like Fluffy. Khamzat obviously can dictate the fight, and in just holding Fluffy down and controlling him, Khmazat can manage his energy the same way he did vs DDP. Not chase a finish, just ride out rounds and allow his superior wrestling to win him the fight. It was sort of the last piece of the puzzle for him to figure out before he became near impossible to beat at MW. (Nobody's impossible but he's gonna be way beyond tough to get past).

All that said, I'd legit favor Fluffy over any other MW right now. That weaponized cardio is an asset that's as valuable as it gets.

2-3? I dont see 2 or 3 more steps he can take. His next fight has to be a contenders fight there's no where else for him to go. had he beaten RDR, we'd be debating if this title shot is his or not

Never heard of it, sounds like some weird sex/porn move. "turn around guuurl, u gonna get a fluffy hernandez!"

Full camp All In ends fluffy

Would be fun to see him vs DDP. Test out how ready he is. I'm not as convinced as everyone else is about Khamzat's cardio is the way to beat him.
I'm with you on that.

I think he won't lose a decision, if someone beats him it's probably by finding a finish from a knee/head kick, etc, or a very surprising submission.

Yeah, it seems like everything has clicked for him - initially he never struck me as someone who'd become an elite MW. I think he's one away from a title shot after Imavov, give him DDP.
