Movies You can only pick 1 Christopher Nolan movie to watch

Memento was great but I don't really enjoy repeat viewings.

For me it's between interstellar, dark Knight, and the prestige.

I'd have to go with the prestige. That movie is so damn good.

He's really fallen off a cliff lately though.
Dunkirk and Oppenheimer were just okay, and tenet flat out sucked.

Toss-up between Memento and TDK.

But IMO most of his best movies are great for a first-timer but not frequent repeated viewing. I could rewatch Joker's and Bane's highlights but rarely the entire movie.

Same dilemma, but I'm leaning Memento by virtue of the better rewatch.

Prestige is strong too.

the dark knight
or
interstellar
or
the prestige
or
inception

all are fun and rewatchable
momento is great but it is only a every few years view for me because of the twist

Agreed. And I always rank Memento first and Prestige a close second. TDK's appeal is different in that it relied a lot on on how well-written and well-portrayed a single character is.

This is tough.

I'd probably pick The Prestige as his "best film", and The Dark Knight for "best performance" (out of Ledger), but Memento was unique in it's manipulation of timelines and the fantastic convergence of both into the climax.

If I could have only seen one, I suppose it would have been Memento. I've seen other great films, but I can't remember any other film doing what it did they way it did it.

Definitely the Dark Knight. Because I am Batman just without the money.
