i'm not sure if you read over this. I agree with the sentiment that yoel fucked up here. he knew exactly what he needed to make for this particular fight. But I also agree with the point TS and some others here have made, just because some fighters were listed as 185 in previous title fights doesn't mean they actually weighed less than Yoel's missed 185.2, some commissions round down whereas others such as this one don't

The difference in opinions amongst regulatory bodies over different locations may and does exist, but it does not provide a universal criteria for making weight, but for allowing certain requirements to be met before the fight is given a green light.

0.2 pounds out of 185 pounds would mean that

Romero weighed in 0.1 percent, not 1 percent or 10 percent, but 0.1 percent heavier than Whitaker.
