Yeol Romero - B sample positive - Claims Supplement Contamination

I think they have to do more then just buy the supplement retail. They might have to look at a specific lot number or something like that cause it might have just been a certain batch that was contaminated.
yes, i said that in previous post would have to be same batch (if they can find it) which is unlikely.

UFC is the premier organization. Fighter's should be given protein/aminos/creatines/pre-workouts/vitamins/pain medication by the UFC and everything else assumed to be contaminated. Sure, this would cost the UFC some, but the fighters do deserve good nutrition and peace of mind - it would also remove this lame ass excuses. I know if I was roiding and got popped I would just by some Ostarine and dump it in my protein and say, "LOOK IT WAS CONTAMINATED NOT MY FAULT."

I actually like that idea. UFC is all about mass sponsorships now, why not shop around to have a nutrition company sponsor all the fighters with supplements.

Bullshit. Sherdog posters assured me he is just a genetic freak.

in addition to banned substances, USADA might want to consider adding an approved list of substances similar to what the FDA does for various drugs. Basically, if the supplement is on their list, it's ok. If not, use at your own risk. I highly doubt legit athletes are using anything other than maybe protein powder.

Oops, we accidentally put $500 worth of designer steroids in this $10 bucket of whey powder. What terrible businessmen we are!

:D But check out the marketing aspect if Romero comes out and tells the world how sad he is that these evil tainted supplements "Name" made Captain America out of his body in record time.

Sherdog will be filled with openly regretting people being sadly misled into buying tons of that stuff

This dude is juiced out of his crucifix and it's a joke he hasn't been caught sooner

Hey I'm guilty of accusing of him being guilty, but I think that's a problem in this country, presuming guilt right away. I'm not saying it's not a PR move, but it is possible that he took something that wasn't labeled. Go to GNC, over the counter supplements with steroids in them. If it was labeled then fine, he's guilty, but if it wasn't then I think that it's possibly not his fault.

he tested positive which is not debatable. This is like going to a party and smoking something that you don't know what it is. There's no way you can use ignorance as an excuse when it comes to drug testing.

but the product he tested positive for (apparently) is not a steroid, its a sarm.

You wont find sarms contaminating your regular supplements.

in total on supplement411 there are 7 products found to contain sarms. 4 of those list the sarm on the ingredients (so no excuse there), and the other three all list steroids on the ingredients anyway (so no excuse there).

Stanzolol etc getting in supplements is one thing, Sarms getting in supplements, another matter entirely.

but we dont know for sure what the product is hes tested positive for. Yoel and his manager didnt want to say in the interview.

Thanks for this, very informative.

I don't see any problem with taking a post fight supplement if it was contaminated and that is upheld by the relevant authority.
I also really like Zeppeling's post about having a single approved source for all of your supplements.
If they can force Reebok on everybody; they can produce or source an esteemed supplement provider that can be batch checked.
If you take something outside of that then you will have almost no excuse, right? Or is it not as simple as that?
Imagine - UFCsterone. UFClenbuterol. UFCreatine. It's a sure fire winner.

Its actually not a bad idea, and it wouldnt hurt the athletes too much as most of them are sponsored by supplement companies in return for free product, its often not a financial thing.

pretty common in other sports, cycling for instance, entire teams have a single supplement sponsor that provides everything (although they often use white label stuff hidden behind the "sponsors" branding)

be interesting if someone like musclepharm switched their sponsorship from financal to product and simply provided every ufc athlete with enough product to get them through.

then tough crap anyone who takes something else.

I like YR and all - and this goes for all the people who got caught and claimed something was "tainted" (I'm looking at you Limpy the Spider)- Why would you ever injest something that you don't know the contents of? Dudes be trusting their trainers / nutritionists and E.D. doctors too much.

How can you contaminate your supplements with a custom, top-end steroid.
You're a moron he failed for sarms, which is over the counter supplements not custom nor illegal federly, usada bans them in the same way they ban viagra.

Lmao wait the first tainted supplement excuse that might actually work and be legit??? He better get on his knees and thank gay jeeesus

Tim Means failed for a SARM you dummy. Romero popped for a designer peptide. Not the same thing.

Rumor was he was busted for designer steroids?

I believe it. Someone is out to sabotage ATT and tainted all of their supplements. They are victims in this.

What's with Lombard's full-blown duck face?
